Chapter 25: Spear Mastery and the Quad-Reconstruction Quota

Sor Fre Bst: Tier 3 Extreme Supernatural Skill.

  Difficulty: 8 Stars.

  Power Index: 9 Stars.

Description: Condenses high-purity fire elements into a devastating ion beam that incinerates all matter in its path. The higher the psionic rank, the greater the beam's diameter and temperature.

Downside: Massive energy consumption. If physical strength is insufficient, the user risks being vaporized by the high-temperature recoil.

  Price: 160 Million Credits.

The stats for this Supernatural Skill were just as glorious as the Spear Art. A 9-star power index was the absolute ceiling for Tier 3 skills.

"Good stuff. Redeem it! Along with the previous Spear Art!" Lance confirmed without hesitation.

“Redemption successful. Neural data transfer ready...”

  Boom—!!!

A violent torrent of information flooded Lance’s brain. This crude transfer method left him reeling with a wave of vertigo—it was a far cry from the System’s "Perfect Impntation." But to a soul from a hundred thousand years ago, this was still pinnacle bck-tech.

Minutes ter, the complete data for both skills was etched into his hippocampus.

“Redemption complete. Your items, Crimson Dragon Spear and Tier 3 Nano Combat Suit, will arrive via drone within ten minutes. Warning: Reward items are DNA-bound. Non-tradable. Non-transferable. Upon death, items will auto-destruct or be recimed. Binding restrictions are only lifted upon reaching Grandmaster status.”

Lance nodded. "Ten-minute delivery? They must be pulling directly from the Silvermoon City Guild vault. Tier 3 Extreme gear... even a peak Silver Rank warrior would have to go bankrupt just to afford one piece, and here I am getting two for free just for registering."

He felt a twinge of regret. If he’d known the rewards were this fat, he would have pushed his rating to S-Rank or even SSS-Rank. He might have snagged Tier 4 or Tier 5 God-gear.

Then again, if he were an S-Rank genius, he probably wouldn't have looked at the seemingly garbage Soul Obliteration Protocol. That method was only Tier 4 Low Rank, after all; it wouldn't even show up in high-tier searches. This trillion-exploit treasure was pure luck.

"Don't get greedy. While the gear is in transit, I'll get the basics of these skills down."

Lance closed his eyes. His consciousness manifested those ten massive hands again, gripping his soul tight.

  RIIIIIP—!!!

With a sickening sound of spiritual tearing, his soul was shredded into ten fragments once more. A profound sense of weakness washed over him, but no pain.

  Rumble—!!!

His stored psionic energy flooded the fragments, initiating hyper-regeneration. Simultaneously, Lance’s consciousness plunged into a deep Holographic Simution Space.

  Hum—

Within his mind, a massive arena formed. The physical ws here were perfectly synced with the real world—one of the secondary perks of the Elemental Saint Body. While many powerhouses could construct mental ndscapes, most were riddled with logical fws. A man who only knows addition can't simute calculus in his head.

But Lance’s Elemental Saint Body functioned like a super-quantum computer, calling upon real-world physical constants in real-time. Any move that worked here was guaranteed to work in reality.

"The combat boost from this Saint Body isn't obvious, but the utility is basically a cheat code." Lance smiled, his right hand closing around thin air.

  Hum!

A spear wreathed in fmes appeared in his grip.

  "Spear Art first."

Lance fell into a starting stance and thrust into the void.

  Cng—!!!

The sharp whistle of air dispcement echoed in his mind.

  Thrust. Parry. Slice. Sweep.

Every strike was a repetitive, boring basic movement. A skyscraper is only as strong as its foundation; to master high-tier War Arts, the basics had to be iron-cd. For Lance, who had never touched a spear, this was the beginning.

Fortunately, the Elemental Saint Body gave him god-like comprehension. The first pass was clunky. The second had a hint of grace. By the tenth, his form was textbook perfect. By the thousandth, every movement hummed with a mysterious rhythm.

In the real world, only an hour had passed. He had already completed two "Tear-Repair" cycles.

Lance hadn't even touched the Inferno Domain Spear Art yet; he was still polishing the fundamentals. But he was lost in the world of the spear, the outside world blocked out entirely.

  Cng!!!

Finally, on the 1,500th repetition, a blinding fsh of energy erupted from the spear tip. A solid spear of energy smmed into the arena floor.

  BOOM!!!

The energy spear detonated, painting the space in a sea of gold-red fire.

"That feeling..." Lance looked at the spear in his hand, eyes wide. That wasn't a skill; it was a basic attack, but the power was more than double what it had been minutes ago.

System Alert: Congratutions! You have activated a hidden mastery: Spear Mastery.Current Level: Proficient - Early (0/1000).Effect: Base damage with spear-type weapons: +200%!

"Double base damage? Just like that?" Lance was stunned. "Why didn't my years of fist training trigger this?"

“Answer: Individual weapon affinity varies. The host's neural synchronization with polearms is significantly higher than unarmed combat. Finding the right 'track' yields double the results with half the effort. Calcutions show host has S-Rank Spear Affinity, but only C-Rank Fist Affinity.”

"I see. I'm a natural-born spearman?" Lance rubbed his chin and tapped the details.

  Mastery System

Trigger: Deep insight into a specific weapon type.

Effect: Percentage-based boost to final damage for that weapon category.

Levels: Novice -> Proficient -> Expert -> Master -> Perfect -> True Intent. (Each level has Early/Mid/Late/Peak stages).

Note: Mastery usually drops when the user levels up (ranking logic: it's harder to master greater power).

Host Privilege: Your mastery levels are locked and will never drop. The System auto-compensates for any "level-up" experience penalties.

Lance grinned. It was a "proficiency cheat." Most people who level up too fast find their foundations shaky and their skill mastery plummeting. Not him. He could hit the level cap overnight, and his skills would still be rock-solid.

"I need to spend more time with the spear. This is a core damage multiplier."

He pulled up the Inferno Domain Spear Art and began practicing for real. This was a Tier 3 Extreme skill; without his new Proficient mastery, the power circution diagrams alone would have taken days to decode. Now, it felt natural.

System Alert: Practiced Spear Art for 10 mins. Proficiency +100.

"Oh? So that’s how you grind it." It was like AFK leveling.

An hour ter, Inferno Domain Spear Art reached Expert rank. To reach Perfect, he’d need a few more hours.

By then, the drone had arrived. Lance signed for the delivery, slipped on the sleek, bck nano combat suit, and gripped the real Crimson Dragon Spear. He returned to the simution.

System Alert: Date change. System refresh.Detected Host Rank increase to Gold Rank. Daily Reconstruction Quota increased to: 4!

A new day had arrived. Lance’s eyes widened in delight. "Right! Ranking up increases the quota! Four fixes—plenty to fix my gear and skills, with one left over to fix a Void Core and top off my mana!"

He’d been worried about his mana reserves. He was down to 8,000 points, and shredding his soul had burned through another thousand. He would have run dry by the afternoon. Now, he could just find a junk core and charge up.

"But the skills aren't at Perfect yet. If I reconstruct them now, the proficiency resets. It’s better to max them out first before fixing the logic."

He made his choice: grind to the top.

“Practiced Spear Art for 10 mins. Proficiency +100.”“Practiced Spear Art for 10 mins. Proficiency +100.”

  Time blurred.

System Alert: Congratutions! Spear Mastery increased to: Proficient - Mid. Damage bonus: +250%!

Lance didn't hear it. He was drowning in a sea of spear-light. Five hours ter:

System Alert: Congratutions! Spear Mastery increased to: Proficient - Late. Damage bonus: +300%!

  At that moment, something clicked.

In the real world, Lance’s eyes snapped open. In the simution, he kicked off the ground and soared into the sky.

"Inferno Domain Spear Art Seventh Form—Sor Fre Domain!!"

A roar echoed through the heavens.

  CLANG—!!!

The crimson spear emitted a high-pitched dragon’s roar. A hundred-meter-long golden fme-aura descended like a falling star, smming into the earth.

  BOOM—!!!

A golden sea of fire swallowed the simution arena for miles around.

  The Spear Art was mastered.

  "Finally done."

Lance floated in mid-air, looking down at the inferno below. "Wait... am I flying? Isn't that a Grandmaster thing?"

He realized he was hovering, suspended by nothing. Being able to fly in the high-fidelity simution meant he could do it in reality. He searched his memory.

“Data shows Grandmasters use high-density Battle Aura to counteract pnetary gravity. But that’s just surface logic. Any system can fly as long as the energy output exceeds the gravitational pull. Powerful high-tier Psions can fly even earlier. I’m a Gold Rank warrior with a 32x psionic multiplier. Flying is a breeze.”

With the physics solved, Lance’s mood soared. He spent a few minutes performing high-speed maneuvers in the air. It was just a virtual experience, but the thrill was real.

"Alright, pytime’s over. Time for business."

Lance hovered in the air, his eyes locking onto the data for the Inferno Domain Spear Art.

"System, scan the Spear Art. Let’s see what surprises this reconstruction has in store."

  “Scan complete. Logical exploits detected...”
