The Day before Goodbye

Two of the three days before leaving for Myrithen blew past so fast that it felt like it was just yesterday that the boys got the announcement. Of the offer from Thalryn Academy, but they still decided to hang out in town as a way of saying to the town they were raised in.

The six boys decided to meet up at the top of the clock tower, their regular hangout spot. The first to arrive were Hope, Jash, and Marc. They started to get impatient waiting for their friends, and so the two decided to pull out their aether terminals,

but they were wondering why Hope was not doing the same thing. "Bro, where's your aether Terminal you usually always have on you?" said Jash.

"Judging by the time he probably got home..." Marc continues to ramble on until Jash speaks up, "Oh, it got taken, didn't it?"

Looking at Hope, "Absolutely, it got taken due to me arriving late, the explanation for me being allowed to still leave the premises is due to the fact I was allowed admission into Thalryn."

Jash gives a thumbs up before speaking again, "Man, I wonder where the others are?" suddenly someone starts talking above them, "Here, bro." It turns out Marv just arrived, Marc says with a curious expression. "How long were you up there?"

Marv, as he floats down, answers with another question, "Why?"

Marc then answers, "Well, assuming you were using your ability to float for about an hour, as that is the time from your house to hear if you take the best...." Marv, with an annoyed expression, says, "Dude, just cut to the chase!"

However, Marc continues to rumble, but then he slows down at the end, saying, "You might pass out in a few minutes if you don't hydrate."

Jash then grabs his water bottle and gives it to Marv, just in case Marv passes out due to exhaustion. "What location do you guys surmise the other two of our friends are?" says Hope,

after drinking a bit of water. Marv says, "They're probably stuck in traffic, I mean, they're the only two who can't fly."

Marc then answered, "That's not entirely true. Kian can create earth constructs in the air that can help him travel."

"Fair, I guess," says Jash before Marv continues to talk and say, "Let's just wait and see who arrives first." The four then proceed to take bets on which of the two would arrive first. Marc and Hope bet on Kian, and Marv and Jash bet on Isaiah
