Hey my dear readers,
I wanted to take a moment to speak to you directly, especially since this is the first time I’ve had to postpone a chapter. Many of you have been following this story week after week, showing up with excitement, theories, comments, and encouragement. That consistency from you deserves consistency from me — and that’s why I want to be transparent about what’s happening.
Earlier this week, an unexpected family issue came up that required my full attention. Nothing dramatic or alarming, but important enough that I couldn’t give the chapter the time, focus, and emotional bandwidth it needed. I always want to deliver chapters that feel polished, intentional, and worthy of the world we’re building together. When I sat down to review the draft for today’s release, it simply wasn’t at the standard I hold myself to — and more importantly, the standard you deserve.
Rather than rush something out just to meet a deadline, I made the difficult decision to postpone this week’s chapter. I know how frustrating delays can be, especially when you’re invested in the story and looking forward to the next moment, reveal, or emotional beat. Trust me, I felt that frustration too. This story matters to me deeply, and so does the experience you have while reading it.
If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
That said, I don’t want this delay to feel like a letdown. So here’s what I’m doing: next Sunday, I’ll be releasing a double?chapter special. Two full chapters, back?to?back, crafted with the care and attention they deserve. I want the return to feel exciting, rewarding, and worth the wait. The extra time will allow me to refine the pacing, sharpen the dialogue, and make sure the emotional beats land exactly the way they should.
I also want to say thank you — genuinely. Your patience, your comments, your enthusiasm, and your presence here mean more than you know. Writing a long?form story is a marathon, not a sprint, and having a community that understands the ups and downs makes all the difference. This is the first time I’ve missed a deadline, and I hope it remains a rare occurrence, but life happens to all of us. What matters is how we communicate and how we move forward.
I’m already back to writing, and the chapters are shaping up beautifully. I’m excited for you to read them, and I’m grateful for the space to make them the best they can be. Thank you for sticking with me, for supporting the story, and for being part of this journey. I’ll see you next Sunday with something special.
With appreciation,
~ EnoughArtist
