Chapter 9 - The Eclipse which hides The Sun

Sewo makes his way to Dave's residence. The main door was open from Ms. Cassandra's escape.

Sewo hears a sharp crying noise coming from upstairs. It was Dave's voice.

Dave lies on his bed, his face bruised , tears rolling down his eyes. " You've left me huh , Cassandra . I can't even blame you . It was all my fault. I treated you like a possession more so than I ever treated you like a person."

Dave keeps talking to himself . His regrets can manifest as tears and sharp words, aimed at himself , not Cassandra. Dave then stops his crying, he knows that crying gets him nowhere. Perhaps thinking deeply about all he did wrong might help.

He knew this day would come , She left him , not for who he was, but for what he had become. The richer they became , the emptier his world was , devoid of all joy and happiness , it was a pathetic life .

Only now , did he realise that he had been in the wrong all along and that he should've treated her better . Dave decides after a thoughtful moment that he will fulfill the only wish Cassandra had expressed. A legitimate business of crops . She wanted to be a farm owner more than a businesswoman.

Sewo climbs up his house via the pipeline installed. The blocked winds confirm Sewo's presence to the sad Dave. He asserts" Well, whether it's for the good or for the bad , you showing up in my life has changed it completely . Cassandra is not here, if you've come for her, not like she's going to agree to your disgusting demands , but she's left this house . To a better place , I hope."

Sewo sits at the window , under the moonlit sky , the blue moon which shines brightly , Sewo sighed , inhaling the fresh and cold air .

Sewo replies " I'm not you, Dave. I don't want to claim anyone as mine . Your wife has left, I know that much too. She was a good woman, perhaps even too good for you, who treated her like shit and regrets it only now, when she can't see you act better".

"Why change now Dave? It's meaningless . She can't see how you've changed , why not be the way you were ? It's not like she cares about you anymore. To her you have become a past she has simply left behind." Sewo inquires with genuine curiosity over the sudden change in Dave's nature.

Snapping back to reality , where his world is all mundane now , Dave seems like a lost cause , he's lost all his will power , a puppet to his emotions, is what he has become. Dave replies " Human nature is beyond comprehension. What you said , is true. My actions are meaningless now, there is no one left to observe these changes . Being abandoned feels like shit . But , just because my actions don't have a meaning , doesn't mean I can't be a better person. I'll be better even if no one cares and i just die a pathetic man.

Sewo giggles" Heh, you've changed so much. I thought people never changed Dave. If you loved her so much , why treat her like shit in the first place, you idiot? Well, whatever . I know where she is , I know where she is going to be , if I call for her, she will come running here, back to this place. Do you want me to do that , Dave ? "

Dave contemplated the meaning behind Sewo's words , He knows that if she left him, begging her to stay won't be of much help. But he can't just not talk to her. He writes Cassandra a heartfelt letter which states that once he has become a changed man, Dave will come back to her and apologise . He wants her to stay single until then and to wait for him to be reformed. He also writes about how , it was only her that showed him how pathetic he had become and for he , he will become a great man once more

Sewo takes this letter from Dave and promises to get it delivered. Dave asks Sewo to visit his shop the next morning . Dave fires his current staff and sets up a meeting with Sewo to hire workers from his organisation and he hired all the 28 homeless people.

Sewo fulfilled his promise to the homeless , they are seen jumping around in joy , their future just became better , just with the courage of a single man.

The homeless all really appreciate Sewo and promise that they will help him anyhow they can , whenever he wants.

Sewo exclaims that he did not help them hoping for something in return and expresses his disgust at becoming some cheap attention seeking hero of justice for the poor.

Sewo quietly retreats, away from the crowd of homeless and makes his way back to the butcher shop and claims the remaining items.

Having completed their ends of the deal, the butcher shop managed to acquire lots of attention for the past 2 days . The snake's meat was a masterpiece . People were buying it in large amounts.

Sewo then sealed the delay with the butchers and headed over to the garment factory to sell the snakes skins for garments.
