doomed to live - PART 2

As Morro kept running, he still couldn't understand how he could run that fast… or why he had run away if he wanted to die.

There was a strange feeling inside him — something unfamiliar.

But he couldn’t name it yet.

“MORRO! YOU THINK YOU CAN RUN?! THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN! I AM THE SUN’S PRIDE!”

  Morro looked behind him.

A man was chasing him, holding a massive sword.

Raikou — the Flame Master. The Pride of the Sun.

He looks so strong… I can’t fight him. I’ll die in seconds. I have to keep running.

Suddenly, everything turned into pure darkness.

  Morro froze.

This wasn’t normal darkness. It was absolute. He couldn’t see. Couldn’t move. Couldn’t breathe properly.

  Then slowly… light returned.

  Morro smiled.

But the smile disappeared the moment he saw him.

The Flame Master no longer looked human. His hair burned like fire. His eyes glowed like a demon’s. He looked like a flame beast trapped inside a human body.

  That’s not human.

  Morro realized something.

If he didn’t face him now… he would burn.

“You are such a coward for running away,” Raikou said coldly. “But there is no more running. You shall learn the true meaning of being doomed to live and fight me. Master of Blood… you are already dead.”

  Morro’s heart pounded.

  He couldn’t outrun him.

  He had to fight.

“WHY DO I HAVE TO DIE?! WHY CAN’T WE DO THIS PEACEFULLY?!” Morro shouted.

“Peace was never meant for you,” Raikou replied with hatred. “Accept it. You cannot win. You cannot run. You are dead.”

Raikou charged forward in a burst of flames.

Morro jumped at the last second, but the fire slashed across his left arm.

  Pain shot through him.

  He couldn’t win.

  But then…

  The green-haired weirdo.

  The Blood User.

  He remembered.

  And suddenly—

  He understood.

  He

  was

  the

  Blood

  Master.

  Morro smiled.

“WHAT ARE YOU SMILING AT?!” Raikou roared. “CAN’T YOU SEE YOU’RE ABOUT TO DIE?!”

“Because…” Morro said, blood dripping from his arm, “I finally understand. I am the Blood Master.”

  He raised his wounded arm.

  His blood responded.

  It moved.

It shaped itself into an arrow.

  Morro aimed.

  And fired.

The blood arrow shot toward Raikou at terrifying speed.

“Yes! Get him! Kill him! I’ll win!”

  But then...
