But It Didn't End… There

  All of Lymoca celebrated the news. As soon as they were told, and then brought to the world as a whole, the Lys planned their nightly festivities. The companies and small businesses owners were tempted to send their employees off, but it wasn't necessary in the end.

  The situation in the south had been somewhat at rest. Argopolas spent half a year under safety measures, with air routes finally becoming available, bringing Cors and the other central countries in south Moonblue to a more patient stance to both wars.

  These wars in specific weren’t simply known as the short-lived Cerk-Valad War and Ters-Avican War, together with the Cerk-Ly War and the Second Ters-Ly War. After deliberation, and with Terka territory’s safe aerial routes a month after Argopolas, they became the Radical Wars.

  They weren’t wars for other purposes but gaining territory, in the end. While Lymoca’s motives might be as noble as they could get in this scenario, unlike in the First Ters-Ly War, they were up for taking over the Cerk and Torkan territories from the beginning.

  These Radical Wars weren’t only about Lymoca occupying territory and then unifying them into Lymocan territory like with Terka, with a clearer mindset. At least not solely. Cerka and Torka clearly wanted to do what Lymoca did when breaking the eternal peace.

  After all, if Lymoca can, why can’t they? Regardless of the outcome, or just a month after severe warring between both initial sides in the Radical Wars, it was also Melenon and Argopolas who would join Terka in becoming Lymocan territory.

  Without these, the analysis over the war, this time larger than the First Ters-Ly War, might not have been taken as seriously. But with the Melenon president’s declaration of directly joining Lymoca, which the Valad president didn’t waste more time to do it a few months later, instead of waiting until the end. It brought Lymoca’s image as high in the world’s eyes as never before.

  The Twilight and Dawn supercontinents were taken aback, but were also substantially intrigued. Was this the most successful Ly political identity in the world ever?

  The Ly tribes were a unified group who became more powerful and fearsome as time went on. The Lylaco Empire was one of the strongest empires with a substantial navy, until the SO began to catch up, and even a brand-new coalition destroyed and overthrew them.

  The Lylaco Empire’s wet dream of unifying most of the south, remaining cordial to the Corsel Empire, and taking the war-ridden islands of the west, was never achieved. On the other hand, through hundreds of years, Lymoca was practically taking over 30% of the south in 2 years.

  It was the combination of harsh work and dedication from Lymoca with the nations they aided become, funding and supporting them worldwide despite their internal affairs. And as the east saw it, they only had to wait until ‘the enemy’ made the move first. Lymoca was glorious.

  That was with the world having no idea of the deals Endesa, Carnge, and the Island countries had with Lymoca. As a matter of fact, be it ANS or the east, they believed every ‘previous’ die-hard ally of Lymoca was doubtful.

  While Cors and even its neighbors were aware that something was going on with the pro-Lymocan countries, rather close and of intimate relations throughout centuries, they were also doubtful. They couldn’t tell if Lymoca had been friendly as of late.

  The relations between Lys and other southern peoples had been rather silent. But of course, they couldn’t have known that PSD had taken over in the secret world of the other countries while Melenon and Argopolas were invaded, and even in the first month that Lymoca invaded back.

  After all, with the aerial routes tenser as the Lymocan invasions began, the south were like ants with their holes filled. Nevertheless, after years, it has come to an end.

  The streets of every part of Lymoca, long ultra-modernized and going from deplorable to decent in even the most distanced rural areas, were just becoming full. Only about 7 minutes had gone through in the flow of time, when the news from the Twilight supercontinent bombarded it all.

  “Lyeeeee!” - “Our blood, our blood, our blooooood~!” - “Lye cabrones!” - “Hey? What’s going on? My phone…” - “Did something happen!?” - “No- yes, no- yes, but… not here…” - “Here?” - “Nothing in Lymoca? What about our new territories? What is it?” - “No… she means… not in Moonblue, but in Twilight!”

  The world was suddenly halted. In Lymoca, the Lys slowly came to a halt, checking the news spreading everywhere, garnering attention in every street just as the news of a decisive victory arrived. Zyckevele, which had always had skirmishes of almost this or that… entered war.

  It wasn’t that they went to Moonblue, but as the Lys and the world suddenly checked these alarming type of news for the third time this year, their eased expressions turned into frowns.

  “… On recent news, over the east in the Twilight supercontinent, Zyckevele has been declared war on by Orcesta, Fresna, Orxa, and Pexa…” - “… It is a shocking revelation! Nobody would have guessed the Twilight supercontinent, which has oozed of peace since the late 5th century, would become wrapped in sudden wars!” - “… Furthermore, it is safe to assume, going back to their statements, that they are in this together, northwest and south of Twilight, to overthrow Zyckevele!” - “… Zyckevele is thus, in short, accused of abusing their power and harassing both frontlines’ countries, forcing them to his point, where wars are being declared on nonstop.”

  It was one thing to see the same trouble reappear in the same spot, especially when circumstances were this odd, and the situation was inconclusive even after the facts.

  But these declarations of war on Zyckevele, by 4 different countries, all more than half the other half of Twilight, considering Zyckevele counted as half of the supercontinent, was bizarre.

  Lymoca was flabbergasted, and it didn’t help that the countries that declared war worldwide publicly announced their statements. Orcesta and Fresna were the most aggressive, wearing the mantle of hatred and revenge for having their territory stolen.

  They even stated Zycks to abuse the previous Orcs and Pontians in the region. While that was completely unknown to Dawn and Moonblue, even to Orxa or Pexa, it became the fuel to further aggravate the situation.

  Orxa and Pexa were more concrete, simply demanding their claims are heard, as they’ve been silent, and they were now suffering because of it.

  It was known to the world of Zyckevele pressuring these 2 bridge nations to unify with Zyckevele and turn Twilight into the full that it should always been. Merula didn’t want them anyway, not after Iztos’s incident, and the formation of its other neighboring nation, Xeoxia, back then.

  Moreover, Marcoplix had good relations with the bridge nations. Not similar to Cors and Lymoca, but more like Mount Veneta and Preato with Lymoca, which was even less than with Argopolas or Melenon before the Radical Wars.

  The point was, after all these years, with Merula’s aid to these 2 bridge nations being nothing more than ceremonial after they formed during the clashes of the rebelling parties and the remains of the Veil Kingdom; Orxa and Pexa were basically on a path to ruin.

  With such situation, and being surrounded by Zyckevele waters in the Burning Sphere Ocean, the 2 bridge nations were up to the teeth with humiliation and incoming starvation. To their word, they had no other choice but to raise in arms and take matters into their hands.

  It was more and more obvious and simple as they stated, further backed by known news of Zyckevele not wanting to give Orxa the western waters, and Pexa its eastern waters. They were, indeed, chocked by Zyckevele’s intention to unify them into itself.

  Of course, there would also be doubts of why Orxa and Pexa were always on the defensive when Zycks moved to visit the Veil territory of their 2 bridge nations. Moreover, more than half the Zycks that journeyed to Orxa or Pexa were abused physically, with all of them suffering from mental assaults. It was beyond insults and loathing remarks.

  Moreover, not a small percentage of non-high profile Zycks traveling down south would go missing, about 15%, which remained the same even as barely a thousand Zycks still travel to the bridge nations, altogether.

  This wasn’t everything. The anti-Zyck countries weren’t shy to show off their new rides. For rides, the entire world could understand, meant something else. They shared countless pictures and a few close-by footage of their new, top-notch aerial units.

  They might not have cargo planes, at least for personnel, but they had many fighters and bombers, truly putting the world to raise an eyebrow to. Lymoca’s aircraft number was never this bizarre, even after the First Ters-Ly War, not even shown in the Radical Wars.

  Those who had up to several thousand units flying into the sky as soon as the declaration of war was announced, and were already to meet Zycks in the air, were the northwestern countries. Orxa and Pexa seemed to have considerably less, although it couldn’t be certain.

  Regardless, the anti-Zyck coalition were opting for land offensives rather than aerial or by water. On the other hand, while they had a navy and a lot of aircraft, they were using the navy for self-defense only, and their aircraft seemed to be used to destroy the Zyck air forces.

  This was no joke. Zyckevele might have just as good technology, and who knew in truth if more aerial units, but to have each enemy country with thousands of fighters wasn’t decided by having the largest territory.

  With this, the world resumed their daily lives, only more preoccupied and falling into absent thoughts. As the day went on, with news of Twilight’s wars just beginning to settle down, the EPA Commonwealth declared their neutrality, with Zyck finally making an announcement.

  President Anastasiv Morozov appeared in the published video, backed by IWS, so no one could take it down, and according to the HLS like Terka, Cerka, and Torka did before.

  He had balding gray hair, very thin still, but his face wasn’t older or wrinkled, as some might have thought after just a couple of hours into the wars. Basically, the Zyck president, standing there in his seat for a few terms already, was unblemished from the situation, unlike many thought.

  “Today, amidst the early morning and in the middle of this morning of the 2nd day on this side of the world, my country Zyckevele has suffered the assault… of declaration of wars from 2 sides. This is equivalent to 4 puppets aiming to deter Zyckevele from peaceful progression and talks with other nations neighboring us. We won’t be stopped, and these wars are only another chapter of the Zyck people. With this, I conclude an affirmation to declare Zyckevele, Orcesta, Fresna, Orxa, and Pexa, to have fully joined these Radical Wars.”

  “To conclude, I thank Estuardios, Preutorias, and Apreus, the EPA Commonwealth, for their decision to respect our Zyckevele’s matters. This is also a reminder that Zyckevele, Twilight, won’t need any intervention from any ally force, but any enemy outside our home is welcome to try. Our soldiers are strong, and our people resilient. Thank you.”

  The footage ended, and the world was taken aback. Just like Lymoca showed what they were made of, bringing the entire south to watch and do nothing, yet saying nothing, Zyckevele was seeking this treatment. This was the better end of ‘if Lymoca can do it, why can’t we?’.

  To be fair, such happenings were only as expected of a nation like Zyckevele. Furthermore, the world might be all thoughtful and not really bother with these things, more so thanks to Lymoca presenting a precedent. But the little goddess, now a young woman of Zyck, Lemyonova Morozov, was the concern of anyone who remembered Zyckevele’s one young genius.

  Yet… just as the world was feeling tensed up with this, finding the entire ordeal just about thinning the balance of eternal peace from returning, and old humanity’s habits returning instead… News from Dawn came into the worldwide public.

  Knight Assembly Association, practically a nation that has remained strong and more so influential after losing its massive territory in the Total Change War period. Its situation was similar to Zyckevele, albeit not as simple and of a few ‘small’ neighboring nations.

  Gexi was the first to directly rise to arms and declare war on KAA, throwing excuses and demands against the Ziaca people like it was their birthright to do so. Gexi, which has been neutral since it was formed after rebelling against the Wondu tribe, suddenly rose to arms?

  What’s more, as soon as they began their marching, which was publicly known, despite their satellites having already requested the neighboring nations to follow the HLS and IWS, wanting to show off. Kunkek and the Wondurs immediately followed the motion.

  They showcased their already prepared armies and marched to KAA, bringing over 70% of western Dawn to a warring period. It was just starting, but that was the point; it had begun.

  One would've thought Gexi would take this time, perhaps together with Kekkaki, Gracia, and Gupi, some of them, or at least alone, to strike Wondurs’ back as they worried about KAA in these times. But no. while only Gexi rose to arms, it was a mobilization aimed against KAA.

  They even had a large number of top-notch vehicles, ranging from mechanized to heavily armored units, moving through their territory towards the southwestern KAA borders. What’s even more bizarre was that Gexi, Kunkek, and Wondurs were marching towards the same point.

  Knight Assembly Association wasn’t moving or even preparing out to attack before the enemy came in knocking on their people’s lives instead of doors. They did immediately begin evacuating the cities, as if knowing it would occur, just not when, or maybe waiting for it to occur.

  Regardless, Kunkek moved to Wondurs’ eastern borders with KAA, while Gexi, which was further away, did the same. The sole KAA coast the Ziaca people had was alerted, bringing forth all their navy to defend, even slightly intruding into Queorian and Korkan waters.

  They acclaimed it was necessary to avoid any possible issues. Moreover, if the neighboring coast nations let a possible enemy move through their waters, KAA had to be ready. Queorian didn’t object, even backing their navy and concentrating them at their influential coastal cities.

  Korkan, on the other hand… While KAA was like Zyckevele, they weren’t the only ones in Twilight. Furthermore, Twilight had the largest number of countries. It had a lot more to ‘offer’…

  The K Tribe nations, namely Korkan, Kekkaki, north of KAA, and Kunkakt, Kunkeet, and Kakikak, south of KAA, were at a sudden brawl with each other. Furthermore, as soon as the coalition of 3 marched to KAA, with Wondurs armies soon to be on hold to wait for the rest, Marcoplix remained silent.

  Before, even as Zyckevele declared their stance and challenged the opportunistic, Marcoplix, was quiet. Yet, as Vevuesta, Merula, Iztos, Xeoxia, Gupi, Remán, Emig, Queorian, and Safe Haven City declared their neutrality, others remained silent.

  While SHC’s neutrality was only ceremonial, being far from KAA for centuries. Marcoplix and Pielsart were as quiet as the snow, speaking of nothing whatsoever. It was strange, as Pielsart was hostile to KAA as the anti-Zyck coalition is to Zyckevele.

  Regardless, the K Tribe nations suddenly went to war with each other, not just in conflict and skirmishes, which were relatively frequent each year. Now, with Twilight’s overall territory entering war, about 50% of Dawn was at war as well, soon to be over 70%.

  Half the world entering war would mean the worst, the start of that which nobody wants to think about, especially in the west, after Lymoca ended the wars in the south and became victorious again. They had just gained a peace they all deserved, only for these wars to take it away.

  Wasting no time, SHC announced not only Zyckevele’s almost-continental war an addition into the Radical Wars, the K Tribe nations’ sudden war battles and the anti-KAA coalition were added as well. SHC wouldn’t decide what was what, only what was internationally recognized.

  Only the anti-KAA coalition had such powerful and numerous top-notch vehicles, all made for war, except for aircraft, which they more or less lacked. However, even if all of Dawn promised to never use combat aircraft or anti-aircraft guns, just Twilight images were enough to deter any commercial and public route from moving between supercontinents or in between ever again.

  The situation grew worse in the course of just several hours, bringing Resilient into a state of uncertainty it hadn’t suffered even hundreds of years ago before the Green Transformation.

  … At last, in the evening of the 1st day, at least at Moonblue, President Luis Heartez gave an announcement to the Lymocan territory and people.

  “… Lys and upcoming Ly people,” Luis stood before his desk, accompanied by his cabinet and the presidents of Argopolas, Melenon, and some community leaders of Cerka and Torka. “There is a lot to explain. Let me begin by reassuring everyone that Moonblue won’t be involved in the eastern conflicts. It’s been too much that we suffered for the last 2 years for any of it.”

  “While it does not make much sense after recent history, I am now notifying all Lys of the safety that everyone has. Moreover, I believe that we can come to agreements where no one in Moonblue will go after each other. The reimagining countries are indeed in the hands of those that think for themselves and their people. I’d like to believe it further. Lymoca has no desire to war Moonblue ever again, but if it is to defend our sovereignty, I wish to count on all of us.”

  “I have a proposal to deal with the matters of the supercontinents’ routes. While I believe moving refugees will be too difficult, I propose forgoing large vessels, opting to use small ones to ship products, food, and medicine for the populace across the world.”

  “It would be even more wastage of fuel, which is why I propose an experimental Pugor engine in wide vessels to pull the smaller ones. It will be a slow journey, but it could at least be employed to keep the world running.”

  “Now, to address the stance from Moonblue and south Moonblue of the east. While I cannot know of ANS’ possible intentions, I only wish for a quick resolution of these issues. The HLS has not been attended carefully, so there is still time for negotiations.”

  “If that cannot be the case, I hope everyone will take the civilians’ well-being into consideration. No such massacres should ever occur in our world, which has gone through several civilizations to get here. It would be a shame that it was for naught.”

  “Lastly, I am now addressing the situation with the new Lymocan territory in the south. I know there is still some uncertainty within Cerk and Torkan territory, but the world is going into the worst situations one can think of. I beg for your patience and understanding. Together, as the 6 nations we are, we can maintain the integrity and stability of all Moonblue.”

  “Please consider, even if you must quicken your thought process, to assimilate to this new situation. Like with Terka, everyone— refugee or not— will be granted benefits and privileges. Let us hope for a Moonblue where we can all communicate and learn from one another.”

  The video ended. This was Lymoca’s stance, which similar to Zyckevele and KAA, they respected the decision of other countries when choosing to war and invade or defend. Even then, they showed some discrepancy, a bit of irony in between.

  Nevertheless, Luis showed the unification of the leading figures of all countries, now confirming to be of Lymocan territory. Argopolas, Melenon, Cerka, and Torka were peaceful since the morning. Now, they were still amidst cooling down from the last existing battles.

  After the initial 3 months of Lymoca’s invasions, the wars increasingly descended into a ruthless showcase. While a couple of cargo planes were shot down leading to Torka, the first after Fox’s group, Cerka was endlessly shoving Lymocan troops with superior numbers.

  The population of each hated Lymoca to the guts, then back up into their brains. No matter the decisive, resolute resistance of both Cerk and Torkan army and people to stop Lymoca, their armies still lunged forth and continued to turn situations into victories.

  When the 9th month was ongoing, Cerka and Torka were met with brain-exploding news. Their presidents have been assassinated! The world was readied to hear about such a thing before, but as months went by, and even Torka was resistant as Cerka despite their size, none came.

  Back then, when these news spread throughout Moonblue, then the world, they realized why. It was all a matter of premeditation, and the objective of unequivocally dealing a critical blow to the ‘traitorous side’.

  It worked, giving the Lymocan forces a lot of terrain and time to imprison the enemy. But contrary to the expected situation, the war wasn’t over, giving the New Order a more than celebratory festivity for the end of the last month. Thus, the war continued.

  But these assassinations weren’t for naught. While they were ‘legal’ in the sense that Cerka and Torka were now genuinely known as traitorous, unable to speak for themselves, the Cerk and Torkans weren’t giving up just because of that.

  As such, after the death of the enemy presidents, the countries’ people began to… falter.

  It had been more than ‘a few’ months since they were ‘readied’ for war. They participated however they could, little to none entering the military after forming those 700k or 300k. That was enough time for them to grow tired and see through just warring Lymoca for… no reason nor purpose.

  A month after the assassination, the people began to riot against the acting government, wanting all of this horrible truth in their heads, ringing and reminding them what their livelihoods were like before the war to stop. For the following 2 months, instead of warring Lymoca, they demanded for it all to end to their governments.

  As such, Cerka and Torka surrendered, at last. Letting their people know of the privileges and certainties they secured to stabilize the ‘peaceful annexation’.
