"What's up with Jiang-ge?"
g Zhou g the man drinking gloomily and quietly scooted closer to Gu Yizhou. The moment Jiang Yihuai walked in, his face was as dark as a storm cloud. The lively atmosphere in the room dimmed slightly.
"Got blocked by someone, obviously."
Gu Yizhou, fully enjoying the drama, fahe fmes without hesitation. Hearing that, Jiang Yihuai’s face darkened even more.
"Bang—"
His gss smmed onto the gss table. Frustrated, he unbuttoned his shirt colr with one hand, his irritation tinged with a hint of aggression.
"I said don’t bring her up again. Do you not uand human words?"
Gu Yizhou shrugged a quiet. The mood in the room shifted instantly. The person singing shut up, and everyone else fell silent, not daring to speak. g Zhou choked on his drink. Was Yumian really serious this time?
Shen Shiyan, slightly tipsy, turo g Zhou and asked in a low voice, "Did Su Yumian not e back yet?"
g Zhou shook his head. No way was he getting involved. He simply replied, "I don’t know."
Shen Shiyan got the message—she probably hadn’t left yet.
A waiter brought in five cases of alcohol. Someone boldly suggested, "How about a game of Truth or Dare?" Everyone in the room was socially savvy, and most had brought dates. Catg the cue, they jumped in to lighten the mood and ease the tension.
"Dare sounds great! My favorite game!"
Just then, a woman walked in.
"Qianqian, e over here. Perfect timing—Jiang-ge needs one more pyer."
The woman was o sit beside Jiang Yihuai. She was the top hostess at this club and had apanied him more than once before.
"Young Master Jiang..."
Jiang Yihuai suddenly stood up, pletely ued. "You guys py. I’m heading out."
He left behind a room full of stunned people—and Qianqian, who had just lost out on a lucrative payday.
Outside the bar, the driver asked Jiang Yihuai where he wao go. The two gsses of brandy were making his head spin. Thinking about his empty vil, he muttered, "To the office."
"President Jiang? Why are you here?"
It was 10 PM, and his assistant was just about to clock out when he saw Jiang Yihuai stepping out of the elevator. His surprised expression only irritated Jiang Yihuai further.
At this hour, Su Yumian would usually remind him to sleep early, worried about his uhy routine. If he refused, she’d throw a little tantrum and g to him until he gave in. He always found it annoying—but in the end, he’d still listen.
"You’re leaving work?"
"Yes, sir. Do you need anything?"
Jiang Yihuai wao say no, but hunger and alcohol-iomach pain made him pause. His face paled slightly. "Get me some pe. From the best restaurant."
His assistant worked quickly. Twenty mier, he pced aly packaged meal in front of Jiang Yihuai. But the moment he ope, his brows furrowed. "Why is this seafood pe?"
The assistant looked fused. "The signature dish at Bihui Garden is seafood pe, sir..."
"Fet it. You leave."
The pe smelled rid fvorful, a perfect blend of delicate broth and fresh seafood. But after just a few bites, he put the spoon down. He had no appetite. Instead, he found himself craving Su Yumian’s homemade millet pe...
"Damn it!"
He really was losing his mind.

The sudden brightness startled Shao Yuwei, making her momentarily dazed. Instinctively, she pushed the man back slightly. "Oh? Yumian, you’re back."
"Uh... yeah. Maybe you guys should, y'know, put some clothes on first."
Su Yumian’s lips twitched as she quickly turned away, giving them time to pose themselves. She sighed. It was clear now—she couldn’t stay at Shao Yuwei’s py longer. No matter how close they were, everyone heir privacy. Living together for too long just wasn’t ve.
But Shao Yuwei, unbothered, simply smirked and pulled up her fallen strap. She casually grabbed an oversized coat, tossing a jacket at her parthe young man’s sharp features bore a faint lipstick stain. His eyes were still slightly red, and he looked pletely at ease.
Shao Yuwei affeately patted his cheek. "Be good. Wait for me in the bedroom."
Obediently, he grabbed his clothes, loosely c his kiss-marked chest, and gri Su Yumian. "Hello, sis. Good evening."
Without thinking, Su Yumian automatically replied, "Hi, Kevin."
The man just chuckled and walked into the room.
Shao Yuwei poured herself a gss of red wiaking a slow sip. The rich, slightly tart taste coated her tongue. Satisfied, she let out a small sigh before zily correg,
"This one’s Steven, not Kevin."
Su Yumian: "..."
Shao Yuwei g her and frowned slightly. "Why were you so te? Your eyes look red—were y?"
Su Yumian poured herself a gss of warm water, her gaze unfocused. "I went to the hospital to visit Professor Ouyang today."
