Wolf
Despite the floor theme being a special one, it doesn’t really take much effort for me to clear it. Both it and the special boss halfway through it. I just continue expanding my Domain while slaughtering the monsters with my physical strength and nothing more.
All with the people in the bleachers constantly cheering, and other people literally chasing after the stadium every time I change floors and therefore worlds.
So at this point there are numerous recordings and pictures all around the System Forums showing the stadium on different worlds.
But I don’t care about any of that. Mostly because of my expanding my Domain, but also because there’s something more interesting on the System Forums than some random chatter about my location.
That being news about the War of the Progenitors. Which is progressing a bit.
Apparently any and all of the people bound by the Voided Karma to serve The Reaper have now been freed. With their Voided Karma finally running out after forcing them to pay it back for quite a while. And only because Titania was somehow making it get paid back at a much faster pace than it normally would’ve been.
But that doesn’t mean The Reaper is struggling in the war. Nope. Not at all.
In fact, he’s just switched over to do the same thing the other Progenitors have been doing.
So instead of using the mortals of his universe as soldiers for the war, he’s starting to use his void creatures. The creatures of his Domain. Just like what the other Progenitors have been doing, using the creatures born in their Domains for the war.
Which has given the System even more time to grow more independent and break free from any lasting control The Reaper had over it.
What’s rather surprising on that side of things though is how no one can find the Beta Dungeon. Except like one or two Progenitors, according to Fenrir. But even they can’t get inside of it.
All because of the Reality Treasure that’s powering it.
I let out a sigh as I beat up the boss of the special floor theme. Some rather large bear made out of shadows and magma.
You might be reading a pirated copy. Look for the official release to support the author.
This whole affair is becoming rather tedious. Go through a floor theme, slaughter monsters, expand my Domain. Over and over again. Rinse and repeat.
I’m practically on an endless cycle. Or at least it feels like I am.
Just that it’s an endless cycle that’s not, well, actually endless.
And other than the change in The Reaper’s soldiers out in the War of the Progenitors, no actual progress has been made in the war efforts out there. Not even a single Progenitor has been defeated yet. Actually, not even a single one has come anywhere near being defeated.
I’m starting to understand why Fenrir told me a while back that this war would last for a very long time.
Then again, when I think about how durable Beelzebub’s clone was when that clone was only a tiny fraction of his power… yeah, it really will take a long time for this war to make any real progress.
Honestly, I may very well finish and leave the Beta Dungeon before the conflict even ends.
Which I wouldn’t really mind. After all, it would mean that The Reaper will still be alive then. And if he’s still alive then, I can take my revenge on having been put into this thing in the first place.
Because punching his damned smug face is second on my list of things to do after finishing up in the dungeon. With the first being reviving Alexia.
Anyways, I go ahead and get my loot from the boss – which is once again trash, as there really isn’t much in terms of items that I can use at this point due to being too strong now – then I proceed onto the next Floor Theme. Which is a sponsorship theme.
Not that I really need anything right now. And I won’t until I get to the next Centurion Floor Theme.
So not for another fifty floors.
Or I guess sixty, since I’m now on the 341st floor of the Beta Dungeon.
As for the floor theme itself? That’s…
Well, it’s an unusual one. I can say that at least.
I think it must be the very first hazardous floor theme that is also a sponsorship floor theme that I’ve ever seen in my entire time in the dungeon. And I find it rather hard to wrap my head around if I’m being honest.
The floor theme itself is in the form of a massive asteroid field out in space. Except with air here for some reason. Probably because the floor theme doesn’t want to kill someone who may still need air at this point.
I don’t though, so it doesn’t matter regardless.
That aside, small meteors and fragments of them are flying around at both slow and great speeds. Making it actually rather difficult to dodge them all. And some of them are even crashing into each other, creating large explosions in the process.
But I don’t see even a single monster as I look around. Not a single one.
Even after I fly around in my hunter form for an hour or so, I still don’t find a single monster. Just a couple EXP orbs.
I continue flying around for a while, only to eventually find something after an entire two more hours of searching. And that something isn’t anything like what I’ve been expecting.
Not that I’m even sure what I was expecting though.
Maybe some sort of really large monster like a mini devourer? Or maybe a massive golem monster made out of one of the meteors or asteroids?
Who knows? Maybe it could even be a void creature. Since the System should be able to create them as well.
But I do at least know that I was not expecting a slime.
Like the slime I now find myself staring blankly at.
