Hey everyone,

  Just letting you know that I've gotten back into progressing on Hedge Knight. I can't say that I'm in a much better place mentally, but rather than wallowing any further in it I decided to do the opposite and actively fight against it out of some serious self spite (the productive kind where I'm challenging myself, so don't worry). This will not change the tone and themes of Hedge Knight in anyway, as I think I've gotten better at filtering out the impulses that were trying to take over before.

  What does this mean going forward? First is that I will be taking this week and next week to bulk up the Patreon to a status that I think will be more "worth it" for people to subscribe. This mostly means adding more early access chapters. We're up to 9 chapters ahead now, but I'm aiming for at least 12 by the end of next week. Ideally it would be 16, but even if my writing speed has actually increased lately, I'm not about to sacrifice quality for quantity, so we'll be feeling that out. I also need to continue rewrites on Book 2 as well as record the audiobook for that (and re-record book 1!). I'd like to say I published two books this year, to spite the crapfest its been for me :p.

  Also, this is FAR off into the future as I actually haven't started anything on it, but how would you guys feel about me writing something more "Mainstream" for RR as a side project? Something like a LitRPG, though with me being me, I probably wouldn't hit all the tropes you'd normally see in one. I have an idea of it being more of a Virtual Reality MMO story a la .Hack and Sword Art Online, but I have no idea if there is actually an audience for that on this site. Focus will remain on Hedge Knight and its side content, and even if said side project takes off unexpectedly, I will continue to write Hedge Knight as my primary focus. Its my passion project, and I'm sure I could write something more appealing to general audiences, but I gotta be selfish and follow my creative desires on this one. But, let me know if you'd be interested in something like that!

  All this to say, I'm back and I'm trying to do better, thank you to everyone who stuck around and for all your kind messages on the previous post. It meant a lot, and I was just a bit mentally funked to properly respond to everything.
