Chapter 20 – Resolution!

Curiosity was pletely bewildered. She genuinely could not uand why the little spirit had go of her way to start spinning super-fast, when in the end, all she did was make herself ft.

It was like that time wheher student, Light, used a spell to make herself glow, so she could see where she was going more clearly… Only to use her spiritual perception anyway! It was pletely backward, ridiculous, and unnecessary!

Of course, the true reason behind this hiccup, was that Chara couldn’t visualize a perfect circle. A mental barrier! Fortunately, she was able to vince herself that she could do it usirifugal force as an excuse.

Without any further dey, the flying disc excitedly rocketed into the corridor. As if following a predetermined path, the flying disc swished and swerved, gracefully maneuvering around the myriad of crystals using long and elegant lines.

  I am speed~!

Uedly, just as Chara was nearing her first checkpoint… something happened. Seemingly out of nowhere, a portion of her mana lost its iridest quality, ging into a different element, beflittering in an exhirating light.

All of a sudden, the world around her blurred, and she could feel herself being quicker and quicker. Before she could figure out what she was doing, she had already blitzed past her intended rest spot, past the four crystalline pilrs, and whizzed pletely into the unknown.

  Uwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa—!

Frightened, Chara chaotically veered left and right, desperately trying to avoid crashing into any of the oning pilrs.

She avoided an oning pilr. Because of the dim lighting, the translut enviro, and her extremely limited perception, she hadn’t even se until it was right in front of her. Startled, she took a sharp turn to the right.

sequently, she was immediately presented with the sight of two giant pilrs. Using her gamer instincts, she just barely avoided a collision by swerving to the side, passing iweewo structs. Regrettably, this abrupt maneuver caused her to fail to notice a third pilr stationed right behind the other two. Uo avoid it in time, she braced herself for impact.

However, there was no impact. Instead, she permeated straight into the pilr before erupting into a crag explosion. Before she k, she had already phased across the rest of its volume aed from the other side.

Finally freed from her quiess, she slowed down and stopped. Scared stiff she nervously oriented her e of perception to face behi the se of disaster, her mana trembling in fear of what she would see .

Uedly, there was nothing. No giant explosion. No crumbling pilrs. No colpsing cavern.

It was as if nothing had ever happened.

While she was pting, a river of curiosity had silently snuck its way behind her, where a very amused Curiosity promptly rippled ience.

Notig the little spirit’s puzzled gaze, the greater spirit let out a childish giggle, “Don’t you know~? As a spirit, it is only natural that you pass through solids~!”

  ……What? …What?! WHAT!!!

In the span of four seds, Chara had gone from fused, to surprised, to pletely furious! Admittedly, she artially to bme for her blinding stupidity. However, it also couldn’t be dehat the treacherous spirit in front of her carried at least ten times the bme for instigating her in su evil and sinister way!

This curiosity spirit is a huge liar! She lied about the crystals beiremely delicate, and she lied about the cave colpsing! What else could she have lied about, and what is she going to lie about ?!

  Chara felt extremely betrayed.

Notig the little spirit’s rapidly diminishing mood and snderous thoughts, Curiosity quickly rose to her defense.

“I never said anything like that. I simply told you not to touything, and then I told you it’s very dangerous. If you didn’t uand what I was referring to, you should have politely asked for crification~!” stated Curiosity in a slightly admonishing tone.

Listening to the curiosity spirit’s ridiculous excuses, Chara was stunned silly. After failing to process any thoughts for the en seds, she exploded.

You—! How could anyone be so shameless! What do you mean, “you should have politely asked for crification~”? It was you that sealed away my ability to speak…!

Divining the little spirit’s questions, even Curiosity couldn’t help but feel a bit awkward. Not wanting the current situation tress any further, she left. Yes, she simply left without providing any kind of expnation or doing anything else.

Being the na?ve and i spirit that she is, Baby couldn’t help but wonder where Curiosity was going… Which is exactly what the other spirit was waiting for! By the time she realized, she had already curiously started following.

  It was a trap!

Helpless, she tried to gre at the other spirit. She might not be able to leave, speak, or look away, but there were still many more ways to let the other spirit know precisely how she felt. Unfortunately, “how she felt” soon became extremely curious!

It was at times like this that Chara lightly wished she could be slightly more apathetic.

Soon, the pair of spirits had arrived back to where Curiosity had statiohe colle of diamonds.

  “Follow me.”

Without another word, the party of two spirits and many precious stoarted moving again.

Feeling a bit puzzled, Chara couldn’t help but wonder, Why does she hese?

Notig her curiousness, Curiosity responded simply, “They be used fic.”

  Magibsp;Chara was super curious.

Sensing the little spirit’s eagerness, Curiosity giggled. “If you want, I teach you ter. Just know that it will be extremely difficult.”

Not oo let such a magical opportunity slip through her fingers, Chara bobbed up and down eagerly. I’d love to…!

Cute… observed the greater spirit. Still, although she had a good idea of what the little spirit was trying to vey, she wanted firmation. “Mm… Just to be certain, this is your way of showing affirmation, yes?”

Chara eagerly bobbed up and down again.

Uo hold back her emotions, Curiosity let out a childish giggle while inwardly cheering. She agreed! Yes!

Both spirits gazed into each other’s forms and simultaneously thought, Now that you’ve agreed, you’re not allowed to take it back…!

In this harmonious atmosphere, where both parties thought they had swihe other, an unusual pact was formed.

After a short pause, the greater spirit asked another question. “Mm… Just to be certain, how do you show denial?”

fused, Chara was about to rotate bad forth when she realized that she was a swirling cloud. Puzzled, she tried floating from side to side.

Uo hold back her ughter, Curiosity burst into a fit of childish ughter.

Before they k, the pair of spirits and the procession of diamonds had arrived at a mysterious tunnel. Uhe rest of the crystal cavern, this area was entirely devoid of crystals. Moreover, it spiraled upwards in a gentle slope, making it seem a bit unnatural.

After around what felt like ten revolutions, Chara lost t, she finally saw the light at the end of the tunnel. Boiling with anticipation, her mana couldn’t help but dense, like it could burst at any moment. She was finally going to see the iing pce!

When she finally arrived at the top, she was weled by a sight that could only be sidered magical. It was a gigantic crystal tree!

However, before she had the ce to start expl, Chara’s mind started to go fuzzy, and she lost sciousness.
