V3Ch-5-Don’t. Touch. The. Tail.

As I ran toward the center of town where the Guild-I Mean mission hall was located, I could not help but notice people giving me a clear path. It was almost like they were afraid of me or something, but when I looked, I saw that only some of them seemed that way while others looked at me with some reverence.

It was a little weird, but I did not care that much and continued on my way as long as the path in front of me was open. This all ended when I arrived in front of the mission hall and went to make my way through the front door.

However, right as I was about to open the door, someone stopped me with a scarred hand that looked like it had been stabbed through by a bde. Turning to look at the man who stopped me, I realized that I did not recognize him or anyone who was around them. Thus, I had no clue why they were even doing this, as there were rules against this sort of thing.

Since that was the case, I asked him, “Is there anything wrong?”

For some reason, the man sneered at my question and asked in return, “Don’t you recognize me?”

That question surprised me as I figured it would have been quite obvious given my previous question, but I guess not, so I made it clear to him by asking, “Am I supposed to know you or something because I don't remember meeting you.”

That had gotten him angry, and he barked back, “Do you really not remember when your friend stabbed my hand!”

His words finally jogged my memory, and I managed to recognize him as the person who tried to touch my tail on my first visit to the mission hall. Along with that memory, I saw how the people around him looked simir to the ones around his table that day.

Given how angry they seemed, I guess they came to me to vent their anger with her on me. Sadly for them, I now remembered and was currently feeling the need to burn them to ashes. However, that would take too long and would be too kind to these people, so I opted for a more ‘explosive’ option.

Putting my left hand behind my back, I made the same fragmentation shell as the grenade I made during the competition. I then filled it with a lot of pressurized hydrogen gas that I pulled from the air and left a small little spark in the middle of. This action caused all the other chemicals in the air around me to become more prevalent and make breathing slightly easier, but I do not think that they noticed.

One of them did notice the hand behind my back and said, “Hey! Hand over what you’re holding now, and we won't hurt you as much!”

I don’t think they understood how stupid of a statement that was. I mean, seriously, why would you tell the person you want to hand you something that you are going to hurt them? That makes no sense.

Regardless, the bomb was made for them, so it would not change the outcome either way, but I still needed to make it seem like I did not want them to do anything.

Since that was the case, I pulled my hand out from behind my back and said, “This is an experiment that I have been working on, and it can not be damaged.”

I hoped that this would catch their interest, and judging by some of their expressions after hearing that, it did. This then led to their leader proposing, “If you hand that over, we won't do anything to you so long as we get back at that B***h.”

Hearing what he called Lou Xia made me even angrier for some reason, but I kept my composure and said while handing over the explosive, “Alright then, but you better keep your promise.”

The man did not even wait and quickly snatched the grenade from my hand with a grin on his face.

He then went to say something to his friends when I cut him off and said, “By the way, you guys really should have watched my match in the competition.”

I then dived to the ground behind me while letting the air barrier in the grenade drop.
