There it is!
The [mineral control] skill
I still have no idea how, but there has to be a way to make my idea work
I just need to know which minerals I need and then I can work on the process
Even if there were to be no way to create minerals, I should at least be able to control them somehow
I mean, this is literally the skill′s name
But that aside, I at first need to confirm which minerals I actually have to control before worrying how to do so
Although [Appraisal] can′t give me information out of the blue, it is able to analyze everything I physically encounter
Like all the inedible plants and Groosha tree and fruit
If I remember correctly, [Appraisal] also told me what sweat is made of, so why wouldn′t it work for water?
Water too shouldn′t be an exception
“Appraisal, can you tell me what this sweet water I drank from those bucket plants was, uhm, made off?” I ask my friend and helper vaguely while shifting my sitting position
I hope it understands my intentions…
“Analyzed water composition: Sodium 223 mg/l, Chlorine 0.01 mg/l, Sulfate 189 mg/l, Magnesium 28 mg/l and the queen′s favorite Potassium 17 mg/l. However, I can′t even start to imagine how the chemical process would look like
Creating something like Sodium or Sulfate is just too advanced for a chemistry rookie like me
Also I don′t think I′ll have the minute control to create exactly 0.01 milligram of Chlorine
So, how am I supposed to put it into practice? Isn′t there another way?
The leaves at the treetops rustle and cover the sun which was warming my body up till now
I cross my hands behind my head and lie down on the boulder while tugging up one of my legs
“This feels quite nice…” I mutter
A few minutes pass as I let my thoughts wander.
For now, let′s try to transfer the minerals from the Nepesthis… anyways, from the bucket plant to some distilled water
If I measure how much water is inside of the plants and create the same amount I won′t have to worry about infusing too many or too little minerals
And if I somehow manage to transfer the minerals, it in turn will help developing a feel for the process

Maybe after that I′ll try and make some drinkable water from scratch?

Let′s go and search for a bucket plant then.
I get up from my lying position and hop down the rock
If I remember correctly I passed some of them on the way here, so let′s just return to my cave
As I begin walking I stretch myself and open my status again
“Kinda feels like unlocking your phone” I release some air from my nose as a reaction to my own joke
“Wait a minute, did my MP go down?”
It did
How could I′ve missed that?
I was so obsessed with only checking on [Mineral Control] that I failed to notice such an obvious change.
I slowly go through my status as to see if I missed anything else
And hell I did
My [Water Element] rose by 2 Levels and I even got a new skill
Can I please enable some kind of notifications if my status changes?
I feel uncomfortable learning about this only now
But I don′t see any options for enabling notifications or the like
That means I′ll have to check my status regularly for updates, huh?
As I think that my cave and two bucket plants enter my vision
I begin running and before I know it I′m in front of the plants.
“Ok let′s see”
I try to remove one from the ground by lifting it, but the roots are stronger than I expected
“Come. On!” I press out as I put more strength into my arms, but it′s to no use
I end the struggle and leave the plants, for now
I approach my cave where I grab my stone which I brought with me from the groosha harvest and return to the bucket plants
As it is relatively sharp, I kneel down and begin cutting the roots of one of the plants
It′s quite meticulous work as it takes about ten minutes until the last root is finally severed
But after said 10 minutes I finish cutting and pick up the plant
“Ugh, heavy”
I somehow manage to lean it against a tree before it, or I, fall over
I plump on my back and let out a long sigh
After taking a small break I drink some water from the plant and wash my face
“Now that I think about it, it would be sad to let this water go to waste”
Let′s use this opportunity and take my first shower in an eternity
I pick up the plant again while trying to keep my back straight let the water flow over my body
“COLD” my mind screams immediately
But other than that, it feels really nice
I continue washing
Each second it gets easier to shower as my body gets used to the cold water and the plant gets lighter from having less water in it
After a while I′m able to hold the plant with one hand and wash my hair with the other
“~ ~ ~” so refreshing

I stop in my tracks
That was Appraisals voice just now
Why is it notifying me now? It didn′t do it before
Huh?
Did I somehow manage to turn the notifications on? Does only thinking about it suffice already?
Well apparently, as I have no other explanation
I′m happy though, Appraisal and Status get more appealing each time I use them
With new found enthusiasm I continue my preparations for the mineral transfer
The bucket plant is now completely empty and kinda sacked in so I hold my hands over it and let water I create with my skill flow inside of it
It takes quite some time, but now it′s filled up to the brim again.

My water magic leveled up again!
And did it just say how much MP I have left?
Then again I asked for every change in my status to be reported, not only skill related ones
With this I′ll immediately know how much MP I′ve used and how much I have left!
That′s so convenient!
But no wonder water magic leveled up
20 is more than 100% of my MP…
Actually, will my remaining MP last for the mineral transfer now?
Maybe I should reduce the water quantity a little
…
Nah, I can′t let my hard work go to waste, it′s all or nothing!
With this thought in mind I raise my hand and think about how I want the Sodium, Sulfate, Chlorine, Magnesium and Potassium from the one plant to transfer into the distilled water.
