Chapter 160: How Do You Lose With Flying Dragons on Your Side?
When the aggressive Predator fleet arrived and saw the nearly blood-red phey were stunned.
The Predators were a warlike species, devoted to battle and the pursuit of strength. Their unmatched bat prowess left them without worthy oppos in the gaxy. This was why they resorted to capturing humans or xenomorphs, throwing them into alien enviros or pyramids for amusement—if they had truly powerful eo fight to the death, the Predators wouldn’t be wasting time on such games.
They were like supreme martial artists standing aloop a metaphorical Forbidden City, menting the emptiness and loneliness of unrivaled power… and then, fully armed ultimate oppos appeared before them.
At first, when the Predators received the distress signal from their mothership, they were shocked. They couldn’t fathom how an unknown force had suddenly unched an atta their backyard. But such details were irrelevant. For the Predators, bat was life. If an enemy dared to strike, the only response was war!
But upon arrival, they were not met with the grand battle they had anticipated. Instead, it was a massacre.
The wele party was a blinding beam of light.
The Leviathaes tentacles, and a radiant beam erupted, striking directly at the fgship of the Predator fleet. The beam tore through the fleet like a khrough butter, smming into the fgship at the rear. In the dark, silent void of space, explosions fred like fireworks as the fgship was dragged from its cloaked state, looking like a trapped beast riddled with wounds. Its once-majestic metallic hull was marred by a gaping fissure, fmes and shattered debris flying everywhere, leaving it in a sorry, wrecked state.
The sudden ambush left the Predators pletely unprepared. They couldn’t prehend how their cloaked ships had been struck by these bizarre enemies. But the real shock came when they realized the attackers were not maes or meical structs. Instead, they were biaies—a civilization built entirely on living anisms!
How could such a force exist?
Staring at the swarming Zerg rushing toward them, the Predators were in disbelief. They had entered bio-civilizations before—xenomorphs, for example, had the potential to evolve into a formidable biological fiven enough time. But the Predators never allowed them that ce.
Yet, this new race before them was entirely different.
As Leviathan's attack raged on, the Zerg unleashed their full offensive. Explosive Bats fpped their wiedly, diving toward the Predator warships. Behind them, thousands of Lurkers and Mutalisks surged toward their targets.
The battle began.
No formations. No tactics. For the Zerg, brute force equaled victory. Attrition was meaningless, casualties were expected, and losses? Don’t be ridiculous—without losses, how could the Zerg call it a war?
In a twisted sehe Zerg and Predators were quite simir. Both were ruthless and unyielding, willing to sacrifice everything for bat. In terms of willpower, the Zerg and Predators were evenly matched. But when it came to hard resources and scability, the gap was insurmountable.
"That’s all there is to it, huh…"
Alex watched the battlefield with a smirk. Truth be told, the Predators’ spabat capabilities were impressive—or at least appeared that way. While they didn’t have shields like the Protoss, their warships were still incredibly durable. The fact that their fgship hadn’t disied after a direct hit from Leviathan’s psmid bst roof enough of their resilience.
Thanks to Miruune’s detailed expnation, Alex now had a clear uanding of the Predators.
A low-budget version of humanity.
The Predator mothership bore a striking resembo the Battlecruisers of humanity iarcraft universe. Their other units also shared simirities. However, due to the Predators' rger physical stature pared to humans, their warships were proportionally bigger. Their primary offensive capabilities relied on ion ons and energy beams, while their defenses leaned on heavy armor and cloaking teology.
But Alex wasn’t focused on these details.
"One good EMP and this would all be over," Alex muttered, watg the Predator fleet battle against the Zerg. In truth, EMPs paired with the Zerg were a match made in heaven. Most species avoided EMPs because they were like a double-edged sword, harming both the enemy and the user. But the Zerg? Being a biological civilization, they couldn't care less about EMPs.
Wait… hold on!
An idea suddenly struck Alex.
In one version of the Godzil movies, didn’t Godzil have a massive EMP ability? A siomp could wipe out aire city.
If the Zerg could absodzil’s genes and acquire that EMP skill…
Oh my god!
There would be nothing in the universe capable of stopping the Zerg. Oo disable everything, and the rest would be a up operation.
In a word: unstoppable.
Unfortunately… who even knew where that world was?
Alex’s excitement sted barely five seds before he came to terms with reality. Every world he entered was random. Even if the Godzil universe existed, getting there would rely entirely on luck.
Oh well.
Even without EMPs, Alex had something just as devastating.
"I’ve seen enough. Ikaros, do it," Alex anded.
"Yes, Master," replied the pink-haired aanding beside him. Ikaros raised her hand aly touched the trol panel of a nearby Predator ship.
Just once.
In an instant, the mighty Predator warships dominating the battlefield froze. Their ion ons and energy beams fell silent, and faint sparks flickered across their hulls as if their systems had short-circuited.
No EMPs were needed when something more terrifying resent.
With a single gesture, Ikaros overloaded every Predator warship otlefield, turning them into heaps of useless scrap metal.
Syeology truly lived up to its reputation.
"Alright, let’s this up and head home for dinner," Alex decred.
And with that, the war came to an end. As the ruthless Zerg swarmed over the disabled Predator fleet for a final assault, Alex could only say ohing:
How do you lose when flying dragons are in your face?
When Alex returo the p Char, the system notification finally appeared before his eyes: Mission plete.
This war ended decisively, leaving Alex with only one clusion:
When flying dragohe charge, victory is iable.
