Chapter 152: The Crystal Nest 1

"Master!" Tia was stricken with alarm, and without any heed for her own safety, she rushed out forthwith.

"Sister! Mr. Kenley!" Guinevere promptly launched a magical assault upon the Black Sheep Knight. The Black Sheep Knight, whose health was already precarious, endured Guinevere's all-out blow and soon emitted a mournful wail.

The others also reacted promptly and immediately charged towards the Black Sheep Knight.

However, at that very moment, a violent undulation of magical energy seemed to surge in the air, instilling a sense of unease in everyone's hearts.

  "What?!"

Above the head of the Black Sheep Knight, the illusory shadow of the Black Sheep Evil God, which had appeared previously, manifested once again. A pitch-black portal materialized out of thin air and directly drew Kenley and Daina towards it.

"Teleportation?!" The potent spatial force made Guinevere, who was accustomed to using spatial crystals, immediately sense that something was amiss.

What on earth was the Black Sheep Evil God scheming?

We must not allow its insidious plot to succeed! The Black Sheep Knight was evidently dead, yet the projection of the Black Sheep Evil God seemed to still linger upon his person. The Black Sheep Evil God must have some ulterior motive.

"Stop the Black Sheep Evil God!" After uttering these words, Guinevere unleashed her most powerful technique towards that yawning teleportation portal.

Ordinarily, when a teleportation portal is under magical attack during the teleportation process, its spatial stability will be disrupted. Guinevere harbored the hope that a powerful magical onslaught could halt the teleportation.

  Bang!

When the magical attack struck the teleportation portal, it was evident that the portal quivered.

It's effective! Keep attacking! The others also sensed the anomaly and promptly resorted to using all their magical offensive means.

Nevertheless, the black hole created by the Black Sheep Evil God advanced towards the two of them unrelentingly. Kenley and Daina felt as if they were being magnetically drawn in, and no matter what evasive maneuvers they employed, they could not shake off this powerful pulling force.

"Damn it!" Daina furrowed her brow.

In the end, the black hole engulfed the two of them, even though it was in an unstable state.

  "Master!"

  "Sister!"

These were the last words Kenley and Daina could hear, and subsequently, they were enveloped in silence.

The two of them were swiftly engulfed by darkness, losing the light and control of their bodies. It felt as though they were plummeting off a precipice, descending into an infinite void.

During the descent, Kenley seemed to hear the singing that he had heard in the bell tower before once more. It gradually became distinct from its initially blurred state. Who on earth was singing? Why was this voice so melodious, as if it were seeping into his very soul?

Suddenly, the air during the teleportation underwent a change, and Kenley distinctly felt that they had reached their destination.

  Double jump!

"Lady Daina, be cautious!" Kenley exclaimed immediately.

The intense impact force generated during the descent could potentially prove fatal if not dissipated. Daina was quick to respond. She immediately executed a double jump with a thrust of her legs, and a white magical array materialized beneath her feet. She stepped into the air and stabilized her posture.

The two of them landed safely.

"Where are we?" Daina looked up and surveyed their surroundings, only to discover that they had somehow arrived in a mysterious crystal space. All around them were purple spinels, appearing as if they were of natural origin.

"Lady Daina, attempt to summon your war mount if you can," Kenley said suddenly with a grave expression.

Daina was taken aback and immediately commenced summoning from the sub-space. War horses, like holy servants, could be rapidly recalled through the sub-space.

However, when Daina closed her eyes to sense the presence of the sub-space, she furrowed her brow.

"It's as if the connection to the sub-space has been severed in an instant," Daina remarked.

"I'm in the same predicament," Kenley said. Of course, he was referring to his connection with Tia.

"Could it be related to this space?" Daina said as she cast a glance around.

Kenley took a look about and felt as though he had entered the Kibi mine cave from the game. The crystals here were more abundant than those in the Kibi mine cave. After all, the dwarves had nearly mined the Kibi Mountains down to the magma zone, and the crystal ore had long since been exhausted.

"We might be trapped in a certain ore vein," Kenley opined.

  "Ore vein?"

"Yes. The teleportation portal created by the Black Sheep Evil God was continuously under attack by Her Highness Guinevere and the others. During this process, the teleportation portal became extremely unstable. Lady Daina, ponder this: what would transpire if we were drawn into the portal while it was in an unstable state?" Kenley inquired.

"This..." To be candid, Daina had never anticipated such a scenario. In reality, she had only utilized the teleportation portal at home when it was stable. Who knew what would happen in this unstable situation?

During the teleportation, we were constantly falling," Kenley reminded once more.

"Could it be that we plummeted underground?" Daina suddenly mused.

"It's a distinct possibility," Kenley said as he approached a crystal, intending to cleave off a piece with his sword to ascertain the composition of this purple crystal.

Bang! The purple crystal remained utterly immobile.

  "What are you doing?"

"I wish to discern what these crystals are. Lady Daina, would you be so kind as to help me cut off a piece?" Kenley asked.

"It's a trifling matter." Without hesitation, Daina raised her sword and struck.

But... Bang! The purple crystal remained firmly in place!

"How is this possible!" Daina was astounded. With the might of Condemnation, she could not even cleave a stone.

"These are purple-striped sphenoliths," Kenley said as he tapped the crystal with his sword.

"You're familiar with them?" Daina had never heard of this type of stone.

Kenley nodded."Our inability to utilize the sub-space properly is likely attributable to these stones. Although we are unaware of where the Black Sheep Evil God intended to transport us through the teleportation portal, it is evident that these stones saved our lives. They obstructed the unstable teleportation portal."

Daina looked up and beheld that the ceiling was also aglow with these stones.

"Could we be underground?" Daina queried.

"It's highly probable. Judging by the direction of the teleportation earlier, the Black Sheep Evil God might have intended to teleport the two of us to hell," Kenley said with a somber expression, voicing a conjecture that sent a chill down Daina's spine.

"Hell... Mr. Kenley, do not frighten me," Daina's countenance changed.

Kenley smiled faintly."Since when has the Knight Captain of the Christophon family been afraid of going to hell?"

Although Daina was wearing a helmet, obscuring her features, one could still sense her pride."I have never been afraid of any evil entity!"

"Now, the pressing question is how we can return," Kenley said as he surveyed their surroundings. He had attempted to summon Tia and to use the world teleportation, but all to no avail.

The space seemed to be completely severed. No matter how earnestly he attempted to summon, he could not sense the slightest trace of spatial energy. The situation was truly most peculiar.
