Chapter 15. Gun testing.

Surrrree." I dragged out trying to figure out what that gleam in her eye meant.

"Come. Stand here." Sapphire pointed to in front of the aisle. I did as instructed while Sapphire picked up the slug thrower and a spare clip but didn't load it.

Aria had relocated to the wall in a way that allowed her to watch me as well as the room. This also meant she wasn't blocking Penatra and her guards view. I'll admit I was nervous before but that was outweighed by my excitement. Now that I had a crowd watching than nervousness was coming back.

Offering the pistol to me barrel down again I took it trying to get use to the weight. Sapphire moved around behind me and it was only when her arms came around to rest on my own and her chest was pressed up against my back did I realize what her pn was.

She wanted to taunt the other girls that she could touch me and was using the excuse of my shooting inexperience to do so.

"Sapphire." I mumbled as a form of warning.

She ignored me and her voice was almost a whisper on my shoulder. "Now hold the gun straight towards the target but make sure there's a slight bend it your elbows. If not the recoil might break them."

Following her instructions I held the unloaded gun out in front with the iron sights aimed at the target.

"Not bad." Sapphire said as her hands made there way over my arms to move them into slightly better positions. "Now position your legs....." She trailed off then looked at Aria.

"Shoulder width apart." Came the reply to the unspoken question.

A slight gasp came from the other aisle as Sapphires tail started to coil around my feet but Sapphire didn't let me turn to see who'd done it.

  "Good work John."

"You're enjoying this too much." I said trying to drop one of my hands to touch her scales.

Stopping me with one of her own she bought it back to holding the pistol, taking extra time to make sure I had the proper grip. "Maybe."

I heard no gunfight from next door so I could only assume they were fully invested in watching. Not helping my nerves much.

"Now I'm going to show you how to load in. Do not! Aim anywhere but at the target."

  "Yes ma'am."

Bringing the gun slightly closer to my chest so Sapphire could properly reach it she began to fiddle with the gun with a practiced ease and had the clip inside in less than three seconds. The whole process was simir to what I knew from gaming so I was confident I could recreate it.

"Now aim at the target, breath, then pull the trigger while you breath out." Sapphire instructed pushing more of herself against me.

  Not helping.

Focusing on try not to feel Sapphire pressed up against me I was suddenly thankful for our morning activity. It helped steady my mind.

Taking steady breaths I moved my finger to the trigger. Sapphire stiffened ever so slightly but didn't stop me. Letting out one st breath I lined up the sights and squeezed the trigger.

The resounding bang was quieter than I expected but I was woefully unprepared for the recoil as it almost tore the gun from my grasp. Sapphire was expecting this and had her own hand on top of mine before that could happen.

"Easy John." She purred settling the gun back into my grasp. "Go again."

My first shot had grazed the paper of my target but done little else. I'd like to say it was far away but unfortunately for me it was about seven meters so I couldn't argue that.

Lining it up again I was determined to hit the target this time so I began to control my breaths until I felt in control and slowly pulled the trigger back this time expecting the recoil.

This time when the gun fired Sapphire didn't need to help me steady it and the bang was more like a potato gun firing. I still missed the target but I got the full bullet hole onto the paper.

"Vast improvement." Sapphire congratuted. "Now empty the clip. Don't worry too much about accuracy just get use to how the gun fires."

I did just that, emptying the rest down the range getting the majority of them to hit the paper and even some on the target itself. I did get a little gungho at one point and tried to fire in quick succession and almost would have shot the roof if Sapphire hadn't interfered but all in all I did pretty well for my first time.

"Not bad." Sapphire said taking the gun and making sure it wan empty. "Care to go again?"

"Yes please." I replied with a smile. This was fun.

Sapphire gave a slower version of the reload so I could follow then unloaded it for me to try. It was simple enough, put the clip in the bottom of the handle and draw the top back to make sure it had one in the chamber. The safety was a little bit different as there was a small button on the back of the handle that when pushed allowed it to fire but would stop if not pressed before pulling the trigger. Not that I had much experience with Earth guns.

I managed to load it with much less grace than my guard but still accomplished the same thing. Spending the entire round into the target again I was starting to feel a bit more confident with it.

"Shall we try the zer one next?" Sapphire asked once I finished ejecting the clip myself and showing her that there was nothing in the barrel.

It might have been basic for them but I was happy with my progress. Accurate could definitely use some improvement but I wasn't some prodigy, I'll leave that to Sapphire and her top 1% accuracy.

"Yeah." I might have been a little to excited in my response but Sapphire chose not to notice.

"Now there in no chamber this time. Once it's loaded it's ready to go." My blue mia picked up the zer pistol and showed me how to load it. This one simir to the slug thrower but the clip was more battery not rounds. This meant it had a tch you close once it's inside. Taking it out after showing me I was handed the zer pistol then the battery.

This one felt easier to load for some reason even though there were more steps and instead of having to count how many rounds I had used and how many I had remaining a low light came into focus on the left side of where I loaded the battery showing me it's charge in the area my hand wouldn't cover if I was only using one. Nifty.

"Now focus this gun will fire differently to the slug thrower." Sapphire made sure I was in the proper stance and got behind in the same position as before.

Rehearsing the breathing I aimed and fired. Unlike the slug thrower there was little to no sound but I was caught off guard again by the recoil. Not because it was strong but because there was none. My stupid brain was already use to the other gun that when I shot this one I instinctively applied enough pressure that it was aimed at the ground. This caused my shot to be well off course, almost into the other aisle.

"Crap." I called out but only got ughs in return from the deer girl and her guards.

"Focus." Sapphire interjected not allowing me to look in their direction. "Finish the clip then talk."

Taking a few seconds to reorient myself I took aim and fired the remaining shots in the clip noticing right away the difference in ammo capacity. The slug thrower had about ten shots per clip but the zer had vastly more. By the eighteenth shot I stopped counting and just focused on hitting the target. Without recoil it was actually much easier at least for me and while it wasn't perfect by any means I did put more shots on target than with the slug thrower.

Once my gun ticked to empty I unloaded it and gave a nod to my mia who took both the gun and the spent battery.

"I think we found his preferred type." Aria voiced.

"We have one more to test but I do agree. A little surprising considering his species has their own version of the slug thrower." Sapphire responded picking up the st gun and it's clip.

Penatra was in her own aside besides us but was making no move to actually practice with a weapon. She was leaving that to her guards while she watched me. "Looking good John. I can't say I've ever seen a male wield a gun before but you make it look good."

"Thanks?" I said back slightly nervous at the compliment.

"One left John then you can talk." Sapphire lightly scolded as she showed me how to load the psma pistol.

Completely different to the other two this one was loaded from the side instead of the bottom of the handle and even Sapphire seemed to struggle with it slightly. She then unloaded it for me to try. I struggled a lot I'll admit, the gun seemed to reject the clip until my third time when it just slid in perfectly. Reminds me of trying to get a phone charger in, gotta try both sides then when neither work look at the port and it all comes together without issue.

Once loaded I got into position, bent my arms slightly at the elbows and waited for Sapphire to get into position behind me. She didn't seem to take advantage as much this time with her positioning and held onto the back of my hands pretty strongly.

She did say something about this one having a bit of a kick to it so let's prepare for a lot of recoil. Taking a breath and holding it for a few seconds I let it out slowly and pulled the trigger making sure it was aimed at the head of my target.

The resounding bang was deafeningly loud and the kick almost threw the pistol back into my chest. I was expecting it to force the gun to aim up with its recoil like what I was use to but it seemed to want to sent the gun straight backwards. Luckily Sapphire was there to stop it but dam.

Instead of emptying the clip I unloaded it and put it down. "Yeah don't like that one sorry Sapphire. Too loud and uncontrolble at least for me."

"Understandable." She replied. "We still needed to test it to be sure."

Instead of putting it back she moved me to the side with her tail then loaded the psma pistol and began to unload into the target with one hand. Each shot easily hit dead center on the targets head and she didn't seem to even acknowledge the recoil in between trigger squeezes. When the gun clicked empty after five shots everyone collectively looked at the smoking target.

"Dam girl. Deadshot has nothing on you."

That got a confused response so I crified.

"It's a character in Earth stories that doesn't miss with any firearm."

"Deadshot." Sapphire mouthed the word a few times. "I like it. You will have to show her to me sometime."

"Him and yes if I can somehow get shows and movies out here from Earth then we'll make it a movie night."

Sapphire was about to say something then stopped herself. "Men shouldn't be in combat." She whispered instead.

"Bad mia." I pyfully growled her.

Sapphire withered slightly at being heard but perked up instantly when I tickled her under her chin.

"He has you whipped." Aria jumped in with a ugh.

Sapphire hissed at her fellow guard putting the psma pistol back by the others. "You would be too if he was your chosen."

"I definitely would be." One of Penatras guards called out.

She was shushed by her Acolyte who at least looked a little guilty for her guards comment. "Apologies. But that was some fine shooting mia, you should be proud."

"Top 1%." Sapphire bragged with a slight smirk.

This time all the guards including Aria let out whistles. "Impressive. Care to teach me some time sister?"

"After John of course, but you might have to use something other that a quintuple barrel. Those things aren't built for accuracy."

Aria brought the weapon in question out of her storage and gave it a once over. "Yeah you're probably right there."

"You have a mia with one of the best accuracy scores and an angel with a quintuple barrel she can pull out of her ass. How'd you get that lucky with your guards?" Penatra asked with amusement.

"Looking outside of my species." I joked giving a slight head nod to her chosen guards.

Penatra just scoffed. "Fine. I guess that's a good enough reason."

"What's a good enough reason." Tayatt asked as she and her posse of guards approached.

All of Penatras guards jumped in surprise, evidently none of them were paying attention. Sapphire on the other hand raised her eyebrow at Aria who just nodded to say she seen them.

"Penatra was just complementing my guards." I called out to the Vattare.

"Really? The twinarak was giving out compliments?" Tayatt said as she came up to us. She seemed to wait a bit for Aria to give her permission to come closer, a bit of etiquette I put away for ter.

  "Twinarak?" I whispered to Sapphire.

"It's an insult. Means someone who can't provide." My mia responded.

"Or that she's useless without her family." Tayatt added.

"Are you always either angry or horny?" I chided the new Acolyte.

"Well you can definitely help with one of those." She pyfully returned sticking her tongue out. "Who knows maybe it'll fix the other as well."

"Ignore her please. It is good to see you again Acolyte John." Ovara interrupted her Acolyte.

"Good to see you as well Ovara, as for Tayatt? At this point if she didn't say anything remotely sexual I'd worry something was wrong with her."

As if to prove my point Tayatt pyfully purred. "Well I'm perfectly healthy. Want to make sure?"

"Oh for the love of the stars Tayatt! At least keep your mouth shut for two seconds."

"Make me!" The Vattare Acolyte then dodged her guard as she attempted to discipline her by spping her tit.

"Reminds me of your sister." I quietly mentioned to Sapphire as Aria got closer now that there was multiple people in close proximity.

"There are simirities." My mia agreed.

"I find it interesting you're not turned away by her dispy." Penatra said, coming around the divider. "Almost all the males I've encountered would be appalled by her behavior towards them."

"His species has the males as the pursuers." Aria answered for me. "Compare it to if a lot of males were doing this to you. You'd probably enjoy it."

Penatra gave her a thoughtful expression but wasn't able to answer before her guard nudged her from the side. We all turned to look at where she was indicating and even Tayatt stopped when we noticed Vanaress entering the room.

Seems my second css is about to start.
