Sleep can wait

Fresh night breeze filed the room with mild scent of sulfur and fragrance of oil and flower garden. Somewhere in between one with a keen nose would pick up the smell of fresh bedding and a hint of stew still lingering in the air. Among all those dominated the smell of soap and a hint of blood.

Neira stretched, kicking away the hot blanket. Her fur alone kept her cozy on a night such as this, not to mention the heat coming off the man’s naked body lying next to her. It’s been years since she slept on a pillow or in a bed for that matter.

  “Oy…”

The sudden realization made her shudder in panic. What exactly happened to her?

  *DING*

Reset? What kind of… Her mind felt so clear, her body so light and content…

  ”Status”

  She whispered into her pillow.

  *DING*

Time and time again she read what the screen said yet it still puzzled her. How? Why?! What could possibly this man want to return her the name she lost so many years ago?

  “Status master”

  *DING*

”Would you mind turning that dinger off. I’m trying to sleep.”

The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.

The man stirred. As her master he could see and hear her screens, interact with them and yet… His words, that was not an order, there was no anger in his voice and no pain came from the slave seal.

Obedient, even though nothing compelled her, she cancelled the screen and waited in fear. Time passed but no punishment came. It bothered her.

If he would rape her, she would knew what to expect and how to act. It happened before.

If he would beat and torture her, she would knew what to expect and how to act. It happened before.

With a master that seemed to care for her… that never happened before and it scared her.

Very well. She shall test that new master of hers and get a response whatever it would be. She could no longer stand the unknown.

She hugged his arm tightly and pressed his hand against her body. This got his attention. With a sigh he turned his head to face her and measured her with his groggy eyes.

”Care to explain what are you doing?”

”You were about to lose one of your titles. I am merely protecting you so it would not happen.”

Oy! Neira bit her lips. Why technically not a lie, it was not the reason behind her actions and by far, that was no way a slave should address her master.

”Of that one I do not care so stop it. I am tired, I truly wish to sleep.”

Again there was no instant rage, no pain crushing her consciousness. That man simply addressed her as… equal and withdraw his arm. Puzzled, she tried again.

”But you should, contrary to its name, that is a useful title.”

  ”Persistent aren’t you?”

With slight annoyance he reached out behind her back then grabbing her butt he pulled her closer, tightly pressing her body against his. This sudden change in his attitude forced a little yip out of her mouth while her tail fluffed out.

  *DING*

  *DING*

With a sigh, the man rubbed her butt for a while more then as if forgetting what it was all about, he left his hand resting there motionless.

  Odd master indeed.

Neira though listening to his heart. A calming thump-thump rhythm echoing through his chest. In her short life she has met many humans, most she wish to never see again, some barely tolerable and yet this human, this new master of hers… was different. He did not harm her, which was good but at the same time, he did not use her. A certain part of her, a part she was ashamed of, felt disappointed. In a sick and twisted way that part of her longed to be used and abused. That was the twisted part of her mind, a part she created to stay sane over all those years.

Now that part of her demanded attention.

She climbed over her new master, readjusted her hips to be exactly where they should be then leaned over him and whispered into his face.

”Is, just sleeping, what you truly desire?”

Joe watched her swishing tail, looked into her shining eyes and felt her hips burning with certain kind of desire. Resigned he left out a sigh.

  ”No. Sleep can wait.”
