Hilda kept attacking the slime as it kept trying to regenerate, “dammit… Shila ran out of mana already? Well.. I'm almost out, but still!” Hilda sent another wave of sword qi as it easily slashed the slime in half before it regenerated again.
“And honestly, how much can this thing regenerate? Though its regeneration seems to have slowed down.” She muttered to herself before sending another attack of sword qi and mana before suddenly feeling slightly dizzy, and checked her mana, finding it to be 15/301
“Alright, no more mana, just sword qi from now on.” Hilda sent an attack of half her sword qi at once, as it caused the slime to be cut in half again as it started regenerating.
“It seems to be a lot slower now. Did I reach a milestone for damage or something? Well, if it doesn't die in the next attack, I'm screwed,” Hilda gathered her remaining sword qi onto her sword before sending it as the slime was cut into half again, seemingly having stopped regenerating.
“Is it dead?” Hilda walked up to it and poked it, causing her finger to get burned.
“Ouch! That hurt!” She sucked her finger before noticing the slime trying to reconnect itself again.
“Seriously?! You're already on the verge of death, just die!” Hilda stabbed it with her sword again, trying to kill it before giving up and running.
“Nope, no way stabbing it is going to work.” Hilda pulled the orb out of her inventory and considered it before deciding not to.
“Screw it, just use my trait, it's too risky.” Hilda looked up at her UFO and prepared to shout before it began to shoot at the slime again.
“Huh? Didn't Shila run out of mana?” She thought to herself before noticing Shila peeking over the edge.
“Shila!” She shouted, “why did you stop shooting just now?!” Hilda stood there, waiting for an answer despite not even knowing if her voice got Shila over the explosions.
“I'm out of mana! It's Litah doing the shooting!” Shila shouted back before falling off the edge, getting caught by Hilda, who quickly ran away from the slime as bubbles started to expand on its body before blowing up, leaving gaps in its body.
“It's dead right?” Hilda turned around, finding the slime looking deflated before its body expanded and blew up, sending lava and slime everywhere.
The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.
“I would think so, yeah,” Shila said before sending them back to the cultist.
“You guys took a lot longer than expected,” he said before walking away.
“Huh? You aren't going to give us another?” Hilda walked up to him, confused.
“That was your last one, did you forget?” He said, causing Hilda to turn to Shila.
“Yeah, that was the 49th floor. The next stop is the 50th floor.” Shila said before sitting down, still feeling dizzy from her usage of mana.
“Then let's go,” Hilda said, trying to pull Shila up.
“No way, we're both out of mana and Litah is still mid-air,” Shila said, reminding Hilda about Litah.
“Right… let's go back to the territory and bring out house back along with her.” Hilda prepared to send them to the territory since Shila was too lazy to do so but turned to the cultist before doing so.
“Hope to never see you again,” she said before sending them back to her territory, teleporting the U.F.O back into their territory afterwards above their mansion again, finding Litah looking over the edge.
“Jump down!” Hilda shouted to her, who quickly shook her head.
“I'm scared of heights!” She shouted back in a shaky voice.
“Well, I don't have mana, so just do it, you're like level 350 or something, you won't die!” Hilda shouted up to Litah, who still refuses
“It's still scary!” She shouted back.
“Just do it dammit! I'll catch you, I swear!” Hilda shouted angrily as Shila watched from the side.
“Fine!” She slowly positioned herself, letting herself hang from the side.
“Help me!” She shouted as if her life depended on it.
“This is why you should have just jumped!” Hilda shouted, “What made you think this was a better idea?!”
“Sorry, I'm sorry! Just help me!” She shouted before accidentally letting go, causing her to fall.
“Help! Help me!” She shouted out nonstop before eventually being caught by Hilda, who dropped her back onto the ground the next second.
“See? You're okay,” Hilda said, watching as Litah helped herself up, her legs still shaking as she did so.
“I hate this so much…” She managed to get out softly, hugging Hilda to use as support to stand.
“Could you get off of me?” Hilda said, slightly annoyed with Litah.
Litah shook her head in response, holding on tightly to Hilda.
Shila hugged Hilda's back, “if she gets to hug you, I get to too!” She said as if there was a reward for doing so.
“Dammit…” Hilda walked into the mansion, dragging Litah and Shila along before eventually reaching the bedroom.
“Why did you have to make the bedroom on the second floor…” she complained before falling into bed and falling asleep immediately due to the exhaustion from using most of her mana and all her sword qi.
Shila fell asleep too, as Litah eventually got off the bed and found a spare room to sleep in.
“Right, she's already mostly seen me naked, if I sleep with her too, that's not even being friends anymore…” Litah thought to herself as she laid down, bored but not sleeping.
“What to do now?” She wondered before hearing somebody knock on the door.
“Guess I'll get that,” she muttered while sitting up reluctantly before standing up lazily and slowly making her way to the door.
She opened the door, finding Anna there, “Who are you?” She asked while tilting her head.
“I'm… Anna, are Hilda or Shila here?” Anna responded, uninterested with Litah's presence.
“Yeah, but they’re asleep,” Litah said as Anna considered waking one of them up but decided not to.
“Right, just inform them I need them later if possible,” Anna said before walking off.
“Sure…” Litah said, despite Anna not seeming to care.
