Soren was preparing for this onslaught after some of the lag time he had 420 hp while Clyde had 1320 hp and only five minutes to chip it down to zero.

  Soren rolled his eyes

  Imma die.

  Soren put the sword in his spatial storage and again jumped and hit him with a [Sonic Blast] Clyde hadn't bothered dodging because it barely hurt him last time, this time it was not the case. The blast hit him and he got pushed back several feet this time and his ears had blood trickling out of them.

  Clyde was shocked, 'How is that ability all of a sudden more powerful, I have to avoid it now'

  Using more mana Soren created his [lightning whip] a blue torrent of electricity leaped out of his hand and attached itself to his hand. The whip crackled and sparked as it rested on the ground.

  Clyde furrowed his brow, 'I thought he was a pure physical class... this could be troublesome, well whatever, Ill end him in one hit!'

  Clyde got ready to do his charge but as he took one step Soren snapped out his hand and the lightning whip bit into Clyde {Aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrggh}

  Alright!! Finally a decent amount of damage, hopefully I can kill him before the spell runs out.

  Soren stopped standing still he lashed out with the whip again and again. Each time dealing damage, Clyde was not going to let this continue he rush him trying to trample him and whenever he thought he was close enough would unleash a devastating blow with his giant war axe, whenever that would happen Soren would [Dash] out of the attack range which was the cause for the destruction of the stalagmites.

  

  

  Just as that notification appeared Soren's spell fizzled out.

  Damn it! That was the only thing I had that dealt any kind of damage.

  Its crunch time now, though now that I see it, it does look like he is moving slower.

  The time remaining was short Soren grabbed his sword and used [Dash] to avoid the reckless charge of Clyde [Haste Strike] using the momentum from the dash he plunged the weapon into the flank of Clyde.

  Soren is feeling the pressure, he does not let up on his attacks, he has to be wary though, one hit from the berserk centaur will kill him. Clyde, even though the paralysis effect was weak, had trouble keeping up with Soren now. Soren leaped through the air and while spinning like a top, slashed down onto Clyde again.

  

  

  Soren paused for a second, trying to catch his breath, the skills and attacks he was using were draining him incredibly quick but if he had put in less effort he wouldn't be able to do the damage he needed. He gasping for breath trying to recover as quickly as possible.

  The time dwindled downward, Soren dashed again becoming more reckless he power slid underneath a horizontal swing from Clyde and dragged the blade underneath him slicing his underbelly. In doing so he got stomped on twice, crushing the bones in his legs and shoulder.

  Soren came out of the other side as the skid finished and just laid on his back. He was down to a mere twenty hit points, even though his legs and shoulders were visibly healing he could not move. He was completely tapped out.

  Clyde loomed over him, rage still exuding his body, "Looks like you die today."

  Just as he raised his axe to behead Soren, [Shadow Spike] blood gushed out of Clyde's mouth, flank, and side where Soren had struck him. Clyde's two front legs buckled at the knee and with the giant war axe lifted above his head, fell sideways onto the ground.

  With as being as hurt as Soren was, he was gradually healing so while he couldn't move, he wanted to do some maintenance with his system.

  Ok lets see here, Ill use the one skill level to [Sonic Blast] making it level 3 and use the other for [Sunder] to raise it to level 2. I think Ill save my skill points. System, show me magic amp and mana cost reduction abilities.

  

  

  WOW!!! That was definitely worth it. Ill be able to cast more spells than I used to, but that was definitely too close. I don't want to do something like that again.

  Soren put his sword into his spatial storage after about twenty minutes or so had his health back up to full, but his stamina definitely did not replenish like his health did.

  Soren staggered to his feet all the muscles in his body aching, he painstakingly started searching the cavern looking for the loot that Clyde had pilfered. He had found nothing. Frustrated he walked back over to the dead centaur and removed his head.

  I will at least get this bounty.

  Once the dead had been done and was carrying the twenty or thirty pound head of the massive creature he cast one last fleeting glance around the room when his eye caught something.

  Sneaky bastard, I think I know where all your loot is hidden.

  Soren went to the throne and moved the cushion and below the cushion dug into the ground was a vault. Soren opened it without hesitation and a green puff of smoke entered into his nose.

  Jeez, that man was definitely a careful one, I definitely would not of had a reason to believe this shit would be booby trapped.

  Soren searched through the contents of the vault and could not be happier, he had found roughly a thousand gold pieces, a few health potions, 2 mana potions, and a black bladed sword. All of these things went into his spatial storage. Upon using his inspect skill he discovered the blade was made out of a combination of cold iron and black orichalcum, a much better weapon than he carried.

  After collecting all the loot he headed towards the back of the cavern where, when he was searching, had found another exit. He had followed the path to where he ended up just on the other side of the city walls and exited out of a false tree trunk.

  These guys were a bit more clever than I gave them credit for.

  He traveled past the gates to an inn and rested for the remainder of the day in the morning he'd turn in the head, collect its bounty, then make his way to take care of his "friends" before his second chance. Thinking of all his plans his eyes slowly closed drifting into a deep sleep.
