The silence that followed the words of Mencholy sted for about 5 minutes.

  "It will be a great honor to defeat one of you freaks in a battle." - The prince of Monari seems to be on board with this idea more than the Prince of Wiefra. I don't fully know Mencholy's power yet, but I will have to see what she is capable of.

  "We are talking about Mencholy of all sinners, you must not be serious when saying that man!" - Seems like one of them still has a few braincells left. I feel like the Sinner of Mencholy has more power than she lets other to believe, what I had heard from Hikari makes it more belivable.

  "I defeated a Sinner in a battle before, I am the one that has sin the previous Sinner of Lust" – The prince of Monari proudly excimed

  "It doesn't matter. I still want to participate in this battle. Fate brought me here." She closed and then opened her eyes again.

  "Then so be it, prepare to perish, Sinner!" - The prince of Monari walked to his side of the dueling ring, the prince of Wiefra, hesitant, followed him as well.

  "You will see what the power I used to defeat one of you!" - They looked at each other and then, I looked to the right where Mencholy supposed to be, but she was and wasn't there at the same time, she was there but she was also behind the princes.

  "What?" - Both of them excimed as they fell to the ground clutching their chests.

  Looking back at where the sinner should be, she is gone. She moves so fast that it leaves afterimages, I couldn't even see her draw her sword.

  "Those wounds will heal, don't make me use everything I got, give up now. It's for your own good" – The princes turned to look at the sinner, she is standing near them, looking down at them.

  "You wench!" - Both of them started to use some sort of crystal ball, they broke it on the ground and a bright fsh of light appeared for a few seconds.

  After the fsh was gone, I could see 2 giant golems and the princes on top of the golems.

  "Witness the ultimate weapon. Our dear summons" – So, both of them are summoners, well, I couldn't care less, Mencholy is going to take care of them.

  "You two boys just don't listen" – Mencholy stepped with her left leg forward, in that moment, everything started to slow down, aside from me and Hikari which is strange, but the color in the world is sucked away, leaving only glimpses of red, bck and white. At my feet there is shallow and dark water that somehow isn't wet, and on the sky, the sun itself is repced with what I can only describe as a bck hole.

  Mencholy drew her out of it's sheath slowly, the sword's bde pulsating of a glowing red, she delivered only one horizontal swing at the base of the golems and a bde of red energy flew out of the sword.

  After 10 seconds, everything turned back to normal, the golems were cut in half, and the princes were on the ground, still breathing but without consciousness.

  "If that's all the princes that are supposed to protect a nation can do, that nation will have it's quiet dusk come early" – Mencholy turned toward my father, she that sharp look in her eyes, that same look I had in the military after coming back from my first deployment.

  Thing are getting complicated, or at least that's what I can read on my father's face, there is a mix of disbelief and fear bulding up inside him, inside everyone that seen Mencholy's dispy of power.

  "Fatima will follow her dream and go to the Academy. The bet still stands. Now if you will excuse me, I will get going. Where was the way out again?" - Mencholy gave me a slight smile, my hand moved out of instinct and pointed to the main gate that leads out of the mansion.

  Mencholy is slowly leaving and going through the main gate; she looks back one more time and then vanishes into the forest.

  Now, I am going to have a lot of crap to deal with. My dad isn't exactly pleased, but a duel won is a duel won.

  "Just prepare your stuff, tomorrow I will arrange a carriage to get you to the academy, but the csses won't start until a few more months or weeks" – That's all my father could say before colpsing to the ground in some sort of fear.

  "What happened to him?" - I asked Hikari but she was in a simir state as well, strange, I knew there were some strange feelings going around when looking at mencholy but I didn't think they will be this severe.

  Thankfully Hikari recovered a bit when she saw me but everyone else is still in some sort of trance where they cry and are in fear of something.

  I grabbed Hikari and moved her back to my room.

  "Well, that was unexpected. I guess the Sinner could still recognize me for some odd reason." - Hikari is still in a bit of a daze, but she seems to be recovering well.

  "Yes, I wonder what that was all about at the end with everyone crying and being in fear?" - I didn't seem to be affected by that, I wonder why?

  "That's one of her abilities, it's rare for it to not work on people, it usually has some sort of effect on everyone, even on me, even tho the effect is lesser than it used to be when I first met her or seen her ability" – Hikari slowly leaned and rested her head on my shoulder, she starting to gently and slowly fall asleep. I did the same as her, at this point I don't care if we are caught, I have done enough bad things to be considered a problem around here.

  "Good night" – This is all whispered to Hikari.

  I fell on my back on the bed and held Hikari close to my chest while we both fell asleep.

  Needless to say, those princes were here to propose to me, but I already had someone, so I would have rejected them either way.
