The freshness of the morning dew, the gentle breeze, and the soft rays of the sun...
I hadn't slept this well in a long time. It was only when I opened my eyes that I realized I wasn’t where I was supposed to be.
“Huh?”
I muttered, confused.
Where... am I?
It was a vast jungle, and it looked like I had nded right in the middle of it.
“Am I dreaming? Don’t tell me it’s because I binged Genshin Impact again st night... I really need to chill with video games…”
As I slowly stood up to explore my surroundings, the jungle seemed way too detailed to be just a dream.
And that’s when I saw it: a giant goril... in the middle of mating with another goril.
It suddenly stopped and looked straight at me.
“Uh? Sorry?”
I said, sweating.
I suddenly remembered: when facing a wild animal, you’re supposed to scare it off and not show weakness.
“GRAHHHH!!!”
The goril went berserk and started pounding its chest furiously.
“Uh? That didn’t work?”
I cried.
I took off running as fast as I could, hoping it wouldn’t chase me. But to my surprise…
“WHY ARE YOU FOLLOWING ME?!!”
I screamed at the top of my lungs.
On my path, I ran into Louis.
“Ken, you bastard!!!”
he shouted before starting to run too.
Good thing we’re both expert runners, or that goril would’ve caught us.
“What the hell did you do to that goril?”
Louis scolded me.
“Trust me, you don’t wanna know.”
“Damn it... Just tell me you didn’t scream at it.”
“Was I not supposed to?”
“Of course not! That’s like refusing to submit to its dominance. It’s an insult,”
he said, exasperated.
As we ran for our lives, we reached the heart of the jungle—thank God—Reel was there, with some people from the conference room.
“Reeeel! You have no idea how happy I am to see you!”
His face darkened the moment he saw the goril.
---
After I woke up, I calmed down quickly and went to look for others who might’ve ended up here. I brought them back to where I first appeared.
However, a few people were missing—Ken and Louis among them.
One interesting thing I discovered is that our number has decreased… and some people I’ve never seen before have appeared.
The problem is, they’re amnesiac. But there are only three of them, so it’s manageable.
“Where are we? And why was everyone I met unconscious?”
I wondered.
Except for me—who arrived conscious—everyone else was unconscious and only woke up thanks to external stimuli.
While the group began arguing due to the situation, the ground suddenly started shaking violently.
And then I heard a familiar voice.
“Please… Don’t tell me he messed up again?”
I hoped.
“Reeeel! You have no idea how happy I am to see you!”
he said... with the massive goril chasing after him.
“Damn it…”
The group scattered in fear upon seeing the beast, and I myself didn’t know what to do to help.
That’s when a beam of light came out of nowhere and struck the goril, sending it flying.
“Laser beams!!!”
Louis shouted in shock.
Just when I thought I’d seen it all, I heard a voice:
> Agent Alpha reporting. I’ve arrived at the site of the spatial fluctuation.
It seems there are humans here emitting spatial energy.
A local species appears to be attacking them.
I will rescue them. Please dispatch a ship to my coordinates.
> Where are we? This isn’t a dream? And who the hell is this guy floating in a suit, shooting sers from his hands?
Ken wondered.
When I looked up, I was even more shocked than when I saw the goril.
A man in a tiger mask, wearing a bck and red futuristic suit, was floating in the air. He summoned orbs of light and, in a fsh, brought down the goril.
As the group stood frozen in silence, the man slowly descended while scanning each of us.
“Greetings. My name is Dante.
I’m a psycher, and an agent sent by the Celestial Federation.
I’m a human, just like you. If you’d kindly follow me…”
he said, as a spaceship—like the ones you only see in movies—arrived.
