When I was behind the door, trying to calm down, I thought of something.
'Yeah, when I created the axe, I felt something was off. And now that I think of it, why the hell did I drag that f**king desk up here? I have spatial...'
Looking at the door, I gripped the axe tightly and struck, carving a four-square-inch hole at head level. The pn was simple: impale them with the crowbar, but the desk had pushed them just half a meter away from the opening.
I didn’t hesitate. I decided to cut the door in half—remove the upper portion entirely.
Once the door was sliced, I could clearly see the LV 3 zombie, its eyes locked onto me. It was as if it knew what I was pnning.
I gave it no warning. Without any time to think, I raised the axe and hurled it straight at its face, aiming to take the creature down.
> Ding!
Gain +2 exp.
A sense of satisfaction washed over me as the notification echoed in my mind. The LV 3 zombie was finally down. I turned my attention to the remaining three zombies and took them down quickly.
With the fight over, I checked my status.
> Creature: human LV 1 (17/20);
'system how much I need to upgrade the [decompose]skill'
> Ding!
Need 2,000,000 energy for the next upgrade. The next upgrade will cost 2x the current price and so on.
> Energy: 1,180,700;
I return to my room, remove the mask, and grab some snacks and bread to eat. After that, I drink something, rest, and listen to music for about an hour.
Eventually, I get up when I notice the door is blocked by a body. The first thing I need to do is destroy the door. As I look at the corpse and the stench hits me, I can barely handle it, so I cover my nose with a towel again. I begin thinking about upgrading my [decompose] skill, then decide it's better to collect the body instead of just throwing it outside the hotel.
I open another room, clean up the zombie inside, and lock it away in that room to keep things contained.
Looking at the time, it was already 8 PM, so I decided to call it a day. After a long nap, many things happened.
I return to the 5th floor and follow the same process as on the 4th floor, killing zombies behind the doors.
I eliminate 11 zombies on this floor, gaining 11 XP and leveling up.
With the level-up, I gain 2 attribute points, which I allocate entirely to strength. The feeling is the same as st time when I allocated points.
I decompose the furniture, including windows and doors—nothing is spared.
I consider destroying the wall, but I'm not an engineer. If I remove any walls, the upper floors might colpse.
In the end, I collect more than 200 metric tons of atoms from this floor.
It took me 2 hours to do all of this, and by 10 AM, I decided to rest and watch something. At 12 PM, I had lunch while listening to music. By 12:30 PM, I covered my nose and decided to go out.
On the way to the 6th floor, I realized I forgot to block the elevator and stairs to the 6th floor on the 5th. I had blocked the 5th-floor elevator, so I used the stairs to reach the 6th floor.
When I reached the door, I didn’t open it. I had learned something st night, so instead, I carved a hole in the door. The zombies on the other side rushed to the door and started banging on it. I realized they didn’t have the strength to destroy the door.
Once the hole was made, I saw my target. After killing the 3rd zombie, I noticed the next one was level 3. When I killed the level 3 zombie, I was surprised—it only gave me 1 XP.
I spent 2 hours cleaning up this floor, killing 18 zombies and gaining 18 XP. I leveled up and gained 2 attribute points, which I allocated to strength. I also collected more than 200 tons of atoms.
Looking at the new things:
> Creature: Human LV 3 (6/40)
>Decomposition (810 tons of atoms)
>Strength: 9
It was only 2 PM, but I didn’t continue to the 7th floor. I blocked the elevator on the 6th floor and the stairs to the 7th floor. I’m not sure if I was overcome by ziness, but I decided to spend the rest of the day watching, pying, and listening to music. It wasn’t too loud—
just enough for the next room to hear. I went to sleep at 8 PM.
