Augmented is an idea spawned by the global Covid-19 pandemic crisis set against the appalling levels of corruption of the Republicans in the U.S. Congress and White House, as well as the inconceivable and even malicious incompetence of the orange menace holding the office of President. The setting is a world 100 years in the future settling out from global warming. It is a world past apocalyptic level crises, but not a traditional post-apocalyptic story told in a devastated wasteland. Instead it asks what our society looks like having largely survived intact and adapted to new climate and political realities.
