Chapter 57: Resignation

“Heh, I bet it’s security come to bst your tits into oblivion! We’ll string your bodies up outside for all the little assets to see. Every day, they can remind themselves to keep their mouths shut and just do their damn work without compints. Not after I have my way with you…”

  Whack.

I pistol whipped the fucker. He wouldn’t shut the hell up. Blood was now trickling from his head as he squirmed about, holding his groin and his head, muttering in pain.

There was movement at the door. I whipped my head around. I would need to act fast if it was the security team. I could at least atomize this punk before being cut down.

I couldn’t contain my smile when the fuzzy red face of my lover popped through the door. “Shit, it really is as bad as Echo said.” He carefully stepped around the blood piles and sptters. “This the guy responsible?” He pointed at Miles, the suit on his knees in front of me.

“You bet your ass he is.” My finger tightened on the trigger as I thought of those poor girls on the bed. “I was about to atomize his ass, then you walked in.”

I heard the spectral guttural growl of Speck from behind me. He looked over at the women on the ground, and the mess about the room, and to the suit on the floor. He let out a hiss.

Miles looked up, “Who the hell are you guys? Get rid of these fuckers, and I won’t have you fired for insubordination!” He gnced over at Speck, “You there, you look mercenary. I’ll pay you a million to ice these fuckers, now!”

I gnced over at Speck. One look at his face, and I wasn’t worried one bit. His whisker twitched as he strode over to the suit. He bent down and sniffed the man, “I smell a dead bitch. I hope all the money in your life was worth killing those women.” He ran a nail across Miles neck, leaving a superficial cut, “I just wish I was the one to kill you.” Speck gnced up to me with a slight nod, “Gas him.”

“Doggy! Call security now!” He yelled out in one st ditch effort.

The Butler was standing at the doorway with Echo’s shotgun in his face, “Hmph.” The Butler smirked as he stood as still as a statue. “Long have I served you, watched and cleaned up your debauchery, but after seeing this one here,” he pointed over at me, “On the vid screen the other day, fighting off a Missionary by herself, protecting a group of Anthros, I was reminded of my youth, in how I believed that humans and anthros could get along and create a world worth living in.” He shook his head, “But now, in my old age, I have gone astray. I see the error of my ways. How can I assist you, Madam.”

He bowed his head to me, waiting for my orders. Man, this hero thing was starting to pay off. It was a bit nerving that I was being picked out by people from that fight. Who else knew who I was? This was going to make things more difficult.

The door out in the office rang again, along with several loud thumps.

“Hah!” Mile’s unnerving smile cut into me, “Security is finally here. I’ve been paging them with my impnts the whole time, stupid fucks. Think you can escape the corporations? I got all your faces logged away right here.” He pointed to his eye, “Every Corp will be hunting for you now. Hahaha!”

I gnced back at Uwu and winked at him. I turned back to Miles, “Then let’s send them all a message.” I flipped off Miles, “You’re next.” I pulled the trigger, atomizing his head in the blink of an eye. His brain pulp and skull fragments spttered on the wall behind him, adding his own muck to the room.

His lifeless body crumpled the floor, spilling out blood from his neck. His augmented eyeball rolled under me, staring right up at me. I stomped down hard, my boot crushed with a sickly crunch. My foot twisted, grinding my boot down to make sure the thing was dust.

I turned to Uwu, looking out at the party. Speck was smirking, Donald was wincing away at the sight, Echo was nervously looking out into the office, the banging continuing, and my eye finally settled on Uwu.

“What now, Captain?” I felt like such a badass. It would have been nicer if we didn’t just wage war on all corporations though. One thing at a time, I guess. First, we needed to take over this power pnt.

The Butler stepped forward, “I will answer the door. Try and buy you time so you can get out of here.”

“No.” Uwu put his hand on the Butler, “We got a job to do here, and we’re not leaving until it’s done. Can you open the door remotely?”

  The Butler nodded.

“Okay, when I give the signal, open it. You best find somepce to hide until this is over.”

I wasn’t sure Uwu knew where the explosives were, “Donald here has the explosives on his cart.” I pointed over at the Anthro-Mole, “That’s our ticket into the security room.

“Do you know where it’s at?” Uwu questioned the Mole.

Donald gulped, his voice was a bit shaky as his eyes kept gncing over at the suit’s corpse, “Y..Yeah, it’s a ways down the hall.”

“Great, you’re in control of the explosives. Don’t let them go off and atomize us all. Speck, you take lead with Vixie and Donald, Echo and I will take up rear. We got to do this fast. Once the arm is out, reinforcements will come. The Corps won’t call on the Gellys if they can help it. We’ll use that as our hope for this assault. If the Gellys are guarding the security room, we’re fucked.” Uwu pulled the pistol from the dead suit’s hand, “Echo, would you be so kind and let them in? You’ve got a gift for them, right?”

Echo grinned like a child on Christmas morning. He ripped his jumpsuit off and pulled a small round object from his belt. “Gd I snuck this baby in, instead of some extra ammo.”

We all strode into the office, leaving Donald and the Butler in the bloody room. Speck flipped over the desk, knocking over some shelves, building a makeshift blockade. We all took up space behind the desk, waiting for the door to open.

  “Open them, now!”

The doors slide open quietly and effortlessly, revealing a small detail of armed guards, submachineguns in hand. They saw the disarray of the office and immediately shot to cover in the hall, shouting for us to come out with our hands up.

The cover wouldn’t help them though. Echo lobbed the grenade out into the hallway, popping off a few rounds of his shotgun. “Boom, bitches! Yeah, hahaha!”

At least he was having a good time.

Fire erupted in the hall, followed by the screams of armed corpo guards. This was it. Speck hopped the barricade and rushed out into the hall. I followed behind. Uwu grabbed Donald and the cart and we raced off down the hall at Donald’s directions.

This was it. The battle had begun.
