XXVI: HOUNDS

“THE TIME HAS COME,” Braako said to his fellow Galactic Deciders as they all stood in front of the Grand Galactic Deciding Temple. “THY BROTHERS… THY SISTERS… The time has FINALLY come for us to make the thracking ‘OATH- BREAKER’ pay grandly for his crimes against the Voltairan Empire ALL of its loyal subjects!!!”

Stepping out of the perfectly straight line that his siblings made whilst standing side by side one another, Braako said, “Brother Xan… Can you see planet Rannuk for us?”

“Yuh-Yes,” Xan stammered whilst using his Gravitational Magnifying Vision to track down Rannuk across the galactic cosmos.

“Have you located it???” Braako asked Xan after a few milli-cycles.

“Yes. I ha-ha-have,” Xan answered whilst looking up towards the skyways over Voltair City. “Tuh-Tis over twenty-fuh-fuh-five thu-thousand light-cycles auh-auh-away from Vuh-Voltaira.”

“Twenty-five thousand light-cycles, eh???” Tristen huffed. “Tis QUITE a long journey for just one worthless ‘skogger’, don’t you all agree?”

Glaring at Tristen, Braako snapped, “That ‘one worthless skogger’ be a TRAITOR and a FIEND, brother!”

“Commanding-Leader Braako is correct,” Medo stated. “The Oath-Breaker is not just some ‘no name life-form’. He shall be quite the formidable opponent for us. Likely the MOST formidable we have ever faced in all our cycles as Galactic Deciders.”

“Speak for yourself, Medo,” Apollox sourly huffed. “I shall SNAP that little thracker in two once I get my hands on his thracking arse!”

Setting his sights on Medo, Braako lowered his brow and stated, “Formidable? For NORMAL life-forms, yes… As for us? THE GALACTIC DECIDERS OF VOLTAIRAN EMPIRE??? THE BREAKERS OF WORLDS?! The Oath-Breaker shall prove no match for the nine of us with all of our abilities and skills combined!”

Shaking her head at Braako’s rather BOLD statement was Anora, who rolled her eyes.

Noticing this firstly was Kai, who whispered, “Anora… CEASE. Cease before…”

“GALACTIC DECIDER ANORA!!!” Braako thundered after he too had caught sight of his ‘sister’ shaking her head at him.

“Thrack,” Kai then cursed in a breathless voice.

Shaking his own head now was Draex, who sighed, “Ugh… Grand.”

Keeping his brow cocked downwards, Braako stomped over towards Anora and asked, “Why do you shake your head, Sister???”

  Anora chose to remain silent.

Unauthorized tale usage: if you spot this story on Amazon, report the violation.

This did not bode well with Braako.

“GALACTIC DECIDER ANORA!!!” Braako thundered angrily once more. “I ASKED YOU WHY YOU SHAKE YOUR HEAD! ANSWER ME!!!”

Sighing, Anora raised her head and locked fiery eyes with Braako as she replied, “I shake my head, Brother, because what you just said to us is a LOAD of raxx.”

The rest of the Galactic Deciders, except for Apollox and the silent Rayven, all gasped as Braako widened his eyes.

“Wuh-What?” Braako stammered in shock. “What… Did you just say to me?”

“You heard me, Braako,” Anora said firmly. “How can you stand here and tell us all that Magnus shall prove ‘no match’ for us when he himself ALONE used to break worlds as if they were nothing? THRACKING NOTHING. I mean, for the love of the emperor, Braak, tis takes ALL NINE OF US to break a SINGLE world. Not ‘one’... NINE!!!”

  “You forget your place, Girl.”

“No. I do not ‘forget my place’, Braako… You have forgotten yours.” WE all have. We should not take on Magnus unwisely. Tis would be rather ‘thrack-headed’, in my own personal opinion.”

“Now you are the one who ‘forgets your place’, Sister,” Rayven suddenly snapped, gaining Anora’s immediate attention. “‘Twas the Grand Emperor HIMSELF who ORDERED you to take the Oath-Breaker’s Life-Cycle if the means called for it. Remember this… DO YOU NOT???”

“Yes, Sister… I remember,” Anora bitterly replied.

“GRAND,” Braako blistered as he got closer towards Anora’s face. “Because when the time comes… AND IT WILL COME you better do as the emperor ordered you to do and end that oath-breaking thrack’s traitorous, besmirched, and mass-murdering life-cycle!”

Locking eyes with Braako once more, Anora stated, “Emperor Voltair said if we can ‘apprehend him ALIVE’, then to do so.”

“If he cooperates. But… Do you honestly think after a whole cycle of running

the Oath-Breaker is going to just ‘let down’ his defenses and give himself over to us???”

  “Anything is possible.”

  “NOT IN THIS PARTICULAR SITUATION.”

As Braako and Anora traded glares a bit longer Xan stuttered, “Um… I… I huh-hate to interrupt

buh-buh-but if we wish to fuh-find and capture the Oath-Bruh-Bruh-Breaker than wuh-we better do s-s-so before he fuh-fuh-flees.”

Keeping his eyes locked with Anora’s, Braako huffed, “Yes. Time is of the essence… SO LET US BE OFF!”

Angrily turning away from Anora, Braako walked on over to Rayven and asked, “Sister… We

have our location. Are you prepared to take us all to the planet of Rannuk?”

“Aye,” Rayven nodded as her dark eyes suddenly started to glow bright, stark white. “That I am, Commanding-Leader.”

Braako then nodded to Rayven as he, her, and the seven other Galactic Deciders all activated their golden Battle Helmets via the ‘mental link’ they had with their special uniforms and waited for her to use her destructive transportational ‘Gravity-Cylinder’.
