Chapter 19 Lava ruin tournament round 2 part 4

Violet watched the eagles in the sky, her mouth was opened wide from the shock.

These creatures were true to their name, big heavy metallic beasts. Their body long

in the shape of a train, the end of their body held their massive beaks. Violet had

absolutely no clue how to approach them.

One of the giant birds spotted her, and then begins a nose dive, targeting the top

of her head. Violet is caught of guard, and takes a direct hit, dropping her health

to one third. (Well I can not let another attack like that hit me again.) Violet ponders

over the best course of action to take.

Violet begins to swing her sword in a multitude of directions. To the birds in the

sky it looks like she has lost her mind. The area surrounding her is now covered

in fire. Smoke clouds the eagle vision, this will buy Violet the time she needs to

  recover.

Violet breaths in, using her breath to speed up the healing process. The eagles

come crashing to the ground, trying to hit the location of the unknown target.

Violet is watching them carefully, as to not get rammed again. Whenever she

sees an eagle coming for her, she quickly runs out of the way. There are now

impact craters from where the eagles have hit the ground.

Violet knows she can not hid forever, but has yet to come up with a proper tactic

to fight the train eagles. There is an idea forming in her mind, but the plan needs

a little more depth to it before she takes action.

Another crater has just been formed from the impact of an eagle. Not wasting this

chance Violet approaches the eagle, making sure to still be masked by the smoke.

Using cryokinesis, Violet creates a small frost tip on its wing. As the eagle flies

into the air, the frost tip begins to expand, covering more of the eagle’s wing

as it gets higher, and higher.

Violet had not just made a small frost tip on its wing, she had programmed it

to cover more of the wing the higher the bird rose.

The train eagle could not understand why its wing was getting colder as the

height it was flying increased. Suddenly its wing was completely covered,

which caused the eagle to be unbalanced. The eagle came crashing down under

the weight of its own wing.

Unlike with the craters, which were formed from the beak of the eagle, the bird

crashed onto its frost covered wing, only creating a minor shock wave. Violet

swings her sword down towards the opposite wing, which immediately catches

fire. The plan soon backfires, the eagle flaps both wings, the fire melting the frost,

a large cold bubble of water is pelted into Violet’s face. Seeing this the eagle sends

a jet of water at its burning wing, putting out the flame.

The eagle soars into the sky once more. (I was so close, but fire is not the answer.)

As much as Violet wanted the thoughts in her head to be a lie, fire did not solve

the damage problem, it would only create another means of attack for the eagles.

Violet can tell, cryokinesis was the answer, but what was the best way to use it.

Violet takes out a javelin, focusing her will, the javelin is coated in psionic energy.

Finding one of the birds, Violet throws the javelin directly towards it, making sure

to use enough force, this is so that the javelin will hit its intended target. Just before

making contact, the psionic energy covering the javelin releases cold frost into the

air. Trails of frost follow the javelin, coating one wing of the eagle as it is also pierced

by the javelin. Just by chance it happens to be the same eagle as before.

Violet pulls the javelin out of the eagle, and takes out her club. She repeatedly uses

frost strike until the eagle is completely covered in ice. Switching to her sword

Violet melts the ice with her fire. Before the eagle has a chance to retaliate, Violet

switches to her club again. Freeze, melt, freeze, then melt again. Like this the first

  eagle is taken down.

Knowing their brethren has been destroyed at the hands of this women, the remaining

eagles all nose dive down at once. The mighty impact causes Violet to be thrown into

the air. The eagles fly towards her, while she is still in the air, beak after beak peaks her

body swiftly. While falling, Violet creates frost on the ground repeatedly, and just before

making contact with the ground, Violet uses advance fire to melt the frost, creating a small

  lake under her.

Splash, this is the sound heard through out the stadium as Violet drops into the water.

Getting out of the water, Violet comes up with a new idea. Covering the javelin once

more with psionic energy, Violet tosses it into the air, but this time it is not aimed at

anything. Pulling out her sword, Violet hurls a fireball straight up hitting the javelin.

The psionic energy releases the frost, when the cold air hits the hot air, storm clouds

begin to form. Violet continues this pattern, until the sky above is pitch black.

The train eagles begin to rust from the cold wet rain, they can no longer fly so they land.

Bolts of lightning strike the metal creatures, this does not stop until they are dead. However

Violet had to toss her weapons away if she did not want to take any damage from the bolts

  of lightning.

“And the winner is Violet Pillar!” The announcer’s voice could barley be heard over the

sound of the thunder. Grabbing her weapons, and running for her life, Violet enters the

  waiting room.
