Temple spotted one of them in the distance. Its long neck stretches, then it stretches out

  its legs as well, just like it was waking from a nap. It takes a peek in Temple’s direction.

  Without warning a gust of feathers is blown halfway towards her, suddenly when they

  start to fall to the ground, the ostrich is their in an instant. (Did it run in that time, or

  did it transport itself there with some sort of magic?) Temple was thinking to herself,

  that is until her thoughts were interrupted by the appearance of feathers next to her.

  (What the? Run! Run now Temple!) Temple was panicking, and her instincts told

  her that running was the best course of action. Temple quickly dashed off, just as

  the ostrich appeared in the feathers before her.

  (These things sure can travel fast, it is best to be careful.) This was Temple’s thought

  process as she continued to run forwards. The ostrich swerved its body, changing the

  direction it was facing, and now it was facing Temple once more. Temple could see

  the feathers gathering halfway from were she currently was positioned. Temple pulls

  out her bow in a flash, drawing an arrow from the quiver on her back, she fires it at

  the pile of feathers.

  The ostrich spots the arrow, which is gather momentum, and will enviably reach its

  current location. Twisting its head slightly, the ostrich waits for the arrow. Now

  that its neck is no longer in line with the arrow, the arrow should end up hitting

  the base of its body, but before the arrow gets a chance to do so, the ostrich flings

  its neck, knocking the arrow to the side in the process.

  A gasp escapes Temple, she is shocked by the action the ostrich took, how could

  she have possibly known, but now she did. (Time for plan b.) Running once more,

  Temple waited for another pile of feathers to appear. This happen with in a few

  minutes, just after Temple started to lift her feet from the ground. Temple creates

  three boulders above the pile of feathers. (There is no possibility of this not working.)

  Temple thinks to herself.

  a back flip, and kicks all three of them. Landing back on its feet, the ostrich watches,

  as the three boulders head back to their owner.

  (No! This can not be! What is this madness?) Temple is in utter disbelief, as her boulders

  head straight back to her. She avoids the first two, but the last one hits her square in the

  head. Blood trickles down her face, and she is now slightly disoriented. (I will not be

  doing that anymore.)

  While Temple is still recovering from the injury, feathers appear next to her. The ostrich

  is now begging its attack. Temple feels a sharp pain in her neck, this is due to the ostrich

  pecking at it. She is brought to her knees by the scratches to her legs. The ostrich pecks

  at her left eye. The pain is almost unbearable. Anger wells inside of Temple, she is furious

  that she is unable to do anything to stop this. Out of nowhere, her arrows fly from her quiver,

  and rain down at the ostrich. The ostrich does not die, but does take a vast amount of damage.

  A pile of feathers appear in the distance, as the ostrich retreats.

  Breathing in, Temple recovers from the pain, not only the pain, she recovers from the dizziness

  as well. Temple places all the arrows back into the quiver. Temple aims her bow, and draws one

  arrow out from the quiver. Temple fires. Into the pile of feathers the arrow heads, just like before

  the ostrich sees the arrow coming. The ostrich flings its neck, knocking the arrow to the side once

  more, but this time the arrow curves, and heads towards the ostrich once more. The arrow penetrates its left eye. (Now you know how it feels, you stupid ostrich.) Temple laughs to herself

  internally.

  Temple draws another arrow, but this time she also uses telekinesis, holding another

  arrow with her mind, just behind the one she is about to fire. The first arrow goes

  flying, the second one trails behind it, invisible to any onlookers in the distance.

  The ostrich sees another arrow heading its way, its neck curves as it waits for

  the arrow to arrive. Fling its neck down, the first arrow goes down. The ostrich

  Is about to kick it out of the way, not wanting a repeat of last time, but before

  it can the ostrich’s right eye is now pierced. The ostrich is now blind, arrows

  rain down from above, slaughtering the ostrich in the process.

  Pile of feathers appear from all four sides, Temple moves the arrows with her

  mind, and then splits them into groups of four, each one hanging above a pile

  of feathers. When the ostriches appear inside of the feathers, Temple pushes

  the arrows down, causing huge amounts of damage. Before the ostriches have

  a chance to retaliate, Temple spins the arrows, so they are pointing up at the

  ostriches, and then the arrows go through them again. Temple continues like

  this, up and down, like pulling a needle through a thread.

  The remaining ostriches all die at once. “And the winner is Temple Raise!”

  The announcement is made, just after Temple runs out of psi from the last

  attack. In the waiting room Temple runs into Wave. “Good luck in the third

  round.” Wave gives her a thumbs up. Temple sees the boomerang hanging

  from Wave side. (When did he get that?) She thinks to herself.
