Raze the Undead

The notification from the system was interrupted by a small body crashing into my chest. Looking at the small creature cradled into my arms In smiled.

'Hey, Anastasia how are you?' I asked her as the spider wiggled from my arms and crawled to her perch on my shoulder.

'What happened, one second you where wrestling the bear like a madman and next poof you where gone!?' She exclaimed.

'Sorry, but I didn't have any control over it, essentially as soon as I killed the bear I was teleported—" From their I explained the conversation with Dorthinoxin or at least as much as I could. As anytime I got close to explaining something he had forbidden I felt a supernatural level of danger which basically left out anything on the crash course of Daemonhood that I now realized probably had major gaps in it.

'So, basically we're going to fight a bunch a zombies in twelve hours?' she asked completely ignoring the other parts of the regurgitated conversation as soon as her bloodlust kicked in.

'yes Anastasia we're about to go kill a but load of zombies like a B-list action movie' I stated just receive a confused look from Anastasia's many eyes.

'what's a B-list action movie?' she asked, from their I tried to explain again about movies, this was a bit of a recurring conversation as I eventually gave up.

From there I manged to convince Anastasia that it was in her best interest to weave up some soldiers after which she went to the empty part of the warehouse.

Taking store of some items and I saw their was a fully furnished room with a kitchen. Unfortunately a quick inspection revealed that none of the items save those I owned were allowed to come back with me.

Looking at the kitchen I saw a plenty of earth like appliances, I say earth like because the items weren't powered by electricity or gas rather I could faintly feel a swirling of magic not dissimilar to that of my earth magic and the sink even vibrated with my Flora magic. However as I tried to grasp it I felt something missing like my brain was missing an attachment or converter.

I opened box that felt cool to the touch, inside was foodstuffs mainly frozen meat, cheese, and a few vegetables. Along with some snooping I found a bag of sliced bread unfortunately no burger buns but bread would work.

Maneuvering around the kitchen and navigating the strange appliances I crafted my self a burger. Unfortunately there were no potatoes, taking out some similar root vegetables I made a version of it after finding a bit of frying oil. With that I had my first burger in a while a true American delicacy. With my appetite sated I turned to my projects.

I was going to have to set up a small base to just store my stuff. My [Flamekin Bear Pelt] had the ability to repair and upgrade its self. This thing was frickin massive, and I couldn't image how much blood this had and I was no where experienced enough to skin this thing and I knew my raise undead skill was simply to weak to move the dam thing. Putting my hand on the pelt and I saw the system notification popped up.

  ...

  [System Item Alert!]

Your Item [Flamekin Bear Pelt Cloak] is able to absorb this item due to matching records. The whole carcass will be consumed.

  Accept: [Y/N]

Reading through it I was a bit disappointed as me and my dad had a erratic hobby of finding the most random jerkies we could find. However I didn't know how to make it and I had a feeling eating a cosmic being was not good for your stomach.

Pressing yes I saw the bear break apart and flowed into the cloak on my back. The Bear Cloak distorted and soon the inside of the cloak gained a glossy quality and taking off the Cloak I looked at. The fur side had changed and dots glowed pulling back I saw the dots formed the shape of the Ursa Major constellation.

With a whip of my hand I felt the draw as my mana flowed from my mind into the cloak and then to my hand the amount ended up being half what I put into it. The spiral of ice that appeared launched forward and when it struck the side of the warehouse I saw it spread out from their. I had only recovered enough to cast [Cosmic Flare] before I would be scrapping the ends of Mana pool.

Activating a five foot blast of a royal blue fire blasted out from my palm. Dripping like a liquid the flame spread out on the floor blazing on the ground for a moment before receding and leaving scorch marks. It was a neat ability but definitely a bit pricey in the mana department.

Remembering my pending stats I placed two into memory and three into Perception rhen I placed five into regeneration, strength, and agility. Turning around I turned to my maintenance toolkit.

Moving on from their I repaired my armor with a rock hammer to get the big debts out form their it's self regen abilities would allow it to repair the other stuff. Pulling out my [Daemonic Goblin Bane] I sharpened the dagger with diligence. The next hour or so consisted of maintenance and polishing, it became a calming and relaxing hobby of mine.

Eventually I went to the supplied and furnished bedroom with an attached bathroom. Taking a shower, I exited the bathroom and I past out as soon as my head touched the pillow.

  ...

Waking up sometime later the heavy cloud of a good nights sleep settled over my mind clouding my thought. Stumbling into the kitchen like a zombie I made my self a cup of coffee which I happily realized was not a purely human invention although the coffee tastes different not in a bad way but it was interesting.

Checking the timer ai realized I had two hours left, making myself some breakfast scrambled eggs and fried sausage I tucked in. After that I prepared everything and standing there Anastasia had since awakened, well not exactly awakened as she didn't sleep more like laying in a web chilling but eh semantics. Prepared I felt a sensation of teleporting, and boom we where once again in a cave. Littered around us were discarded rusting bronze age weaponry of bronze and copper. My stuff appeared behind me and looking back I flexed my Mana and created a humble abode into the rockface of the cave. Stuffing my stuff in their. Due to Dorthinoxin's warning I knew I didn't need my golem armor cause I wouldn't turn unless I died and well that wasn't the plan.

Alright the Kill counter was nice, turning to my companion surrounded by a humble army of silk puppets. They were significantly weaker than the undead counter part, but they had the advantage of being easy to produce.

We navigated a little bit until we found one, standing with a lost look in its eyes, its skin shallow and wrapped up against it's skeleton frame like it had went through a famine.

Then it twitched and its dead eyes kindled with living rage, and cocking back it's head it gave a war call.

"UHHHH RTHRUUUUN AHH" The call echoed throughout the caves as it no doubt called its brethren, smiling I readied my Claymore reading into a mole stance.

Whipping its head down it drew it's sword a poorly maintained bronze sword, the once copperish colored blade had long turn a deep greenish blue. With a forward thrust I pierced through the dated leather armor like paper the tip of my sword gutted the Draugur.

Ignoring the XP notification I readied myself for the upcoming hoard the clatter of feet and the dull roar of a war cry that was to muted to make out echoed out.

Two minutes later the first waves came broken into groups, this time Anastasia's puppets acted as buffer ganging up on them to bridge the gap along with some minor [Geomancy] I manged to make so that they weren't overwhelmed.
