By the end of the day, I finished 5 more runs.

  I nning on doing a few more, but when I finished my 5th solo run, I found Nyx, who had just finished her run, and was looking quite exhausted.

  “Are you Ok?” I asked her, walking up to her.

  “I’m fine” she said. “It’s just been a lot of work for today. But looking at you, I feel kind of weak”.

  “Well, I have been doing this for a few more days than you, and I have been preparing for it for a long time.” I expio her.

  “A few more days. Seriously? That's your best answer?”

  “Sure, how well did you do?”

  “I went down to the sed floor a hunting the level 7 goblins. I did that until I hit level 7. Then I tried at the boss room. I was able to finish it” she said with a broad smile, trying t a little.

  “That's pretty good” I told her. I khat my dedication wasn’t normal and thought reassuring her would be a good idea.

  “Hey, how about we go get something to drink?” Nyx said to me.

  “Um, Sure” I said.

  “Great, lets head out”

  With that, the two of us turned in our stones, ahe dungeon.

  I was making a good amount of money now, so I had nothing to worry about.

  Nyx brought me to a cafe I know from people talking about it at school. It arently really popur with couples.

  Something that ainfully obvious wheered.

  All of the tables were for 2 people.

  There were a number of couples sitting at them.

  And looking at their menu, I think all of their drinks were meant for couples.

  “I don’t think we should be here” I say, only for Nyx to ignore me.

  She quickly makes her way to the ter and pces her order.

  “Hey, you have to order something as well” She said, and called me forward. I quickly pie of the drinks from their menu.

  I also give the cashier my card to pay.

  We theold to choose a table and our drinks will be brought to us.

  Whe down, Nyx started talking.

  “I could have paid, you know. I am kinda rich” she tells me.

  “You don’t have to.”

  “I thiime I should pay”

  “ime?”

  “Yeah, we are going to be hunting buddies from here on out”

  This was bad for me, at least in the short term.

  “Um, I don’t think I do that” I start to say, only to be interrupted by someone calling my name.

  “Zenith?”

  I turo see who it was, and saw Mia and Noah walking into the cafe.

  Mia had kind of been ign her friends for a few days. She had been thinking about everything with Zenith.

  She had seen on the hat the hunters association was the target of a terrorist attack at their nearty.

  She khat he would go to those parties with his family, so she was scared he had gotten hurt.

  She had sent him several messages, but never got a response.

  And finally, three days ter, Noah showed up at her house, and demao see her.

  Her family, minus her sister, had always liked Noah, so they let him in without a problem.

  “You o get out of the house” he told her. “If something had happehe news would have reported it, right?”.

  “Maybe, but why isn’t he responding? Have you tried texting him?” Mia asked him.

  “Because he isn’t nioah told her, trying to lead her to a certain clusion. “Why else would he ignore you?”

  “Beaucase he got hurt”

  Then he snapped. “If you are that into him, why did you agree to this?!”.

  Mia ’t answer him, but falls back at the yelling.

  “Ok, let's go out somewhere” Noah said. “Just to get you out of the house”.

  Not really sure what to do, Mia just agreed.

  They didn’t have much of a pn so they just ended up going to a cafe popur with couples at their school.

  But both of them were shocked when they got there.

  The very person that Mia was trying to tact was sitting at a table.

  With a person they bnized.

  Noah, hoping that Mia had not seen him yet, spoke, “Hey, we should go somewhere else…”.

  But he was cut off.

  “Zenith” Mia called out to him, and walked right over to him.

  Noah followed behind her.

  “Mia?” Zenith said.

  “What are you doing here?” she said to him.

  “Having a drink with a … friend?” he said, turning back to the girl he was with.

  “And who the hell is this…” Mia said, quite angry. But she knew who it was. “That's Nyx, the singer”.

  “Oh, yes. Are you a friend of Zenith’s?” Nyx said.

  “Yes” Mia said with absolute fidence.

  “Not really,” Zenith said.

  “Why do you keep saying that? We are friends. Why would that ge”

  “Because you're dating” Zenith started, then was pletely interrupted by Noah.

  “It seems like this is something we should talk about ter Mia. It's clear that Zenith is fine, but also busy. We should catch up after school starts up again” He said, basically f her out of the cafe.

  “Who was that” Nyx asked as Mia and Noah left the cafe.

  “My former best friend” I told her. “They started dating a few weeks ago so I decided to distance myself from her.”

  “Really? It doesn't seem like she wants that.”

  “Then she o talk to her boyfriend about that. It was implied by him that he wouldn’t like her having a boy bestfriend.”

  “Are you ok with that”

  “Yeah. In all hoy, we had been growing apart for a while. She got a bunch of new friends whearted highschool, and they don’t like me”

  “Is that boyfriend of hers part of that group?”

  “Yes and no. He was my friend as well, but once he got in with that group, he stoped talking to me without her there”

  While we were talking, I looked around the cafe and noticed that all of the people were watg Nyx and me.

  I don’t know if this was because of what just happened, or because Nyx is famous.

  “We should leave soon” she said, notig the same thing. “I don't really like be the ter of attention like this”

  ?

  Noah basically dragged Mia to a park he cafe.

  “Let go of me Noah” she yelled at him, but he didn’t until they were far enough away.

  Wheopped he turned and started yelling at her.

  “What the hell Mia?! We were just trying to have a e and you instantly go talk to anuy”

  “Anuy? Zenith is my best friend. You should know this” Mia said, anger entering her voice.

  “Who cares. I’m your boyfriend. You agreed to that.”

  “Maybe I shouldn’t have,” Mia said. “You’ve ged. I don’t want to do this stuff with you, but you force me. You kiss me when I don’t want to. Y me out on dates I don’t want to go on. In all hoy, maybe we shouldn’t date”

  At this Noah exploded. He grabbed her by the arms and held her. “We are not breaking up” he said in a cold tone.

  Tears filling Mia’s eyes, she just said “Let me go”.
