“What is a slime doing here?” I say, looking at the slime. Its not the normal color of slimes I have seen in the slime cave dungeons, and its the same size as the boss mohere.
And it didn’t trigger enemy dete.
But after a few seds, someone es up with a few more slimes.
When I saw who it was, I was caught off guard.
“N-Nyx?” I say, seeing her e around a er.
“Oh, Zenith. I didn’t expect to see you here” Nyx said to me.
“Um, yeah. This is the dungeon I am hunting in for now. Are you doing the same?”
“Yeah, This seemed like a good pce to start. An I just hit level 5, from a little over an hour of being here”
“Really? But whats with the slimes… Oh, is that your skill” I said, remembering what she described yesterday.
“Yeah, my partner slimes. They make hunting pretty easy” She told me.
“Really? But if there doing everything, then you aren’t getting any practice”
“Yeah, but I level up really easily”
“But, you have to use your stats to make sure they increase more when you level up”
“I know, I already got Strength to go up to 2 and same with intelligence. But the others are weird. Luck will happen automatically over time, and defense requires me to take hits, which isn’t in my pn right now. And I don’t know how to increase speed” She tells me.
“Well, you increase defense by taking a hit, even if you don’t take damage. And speed is just running around, i think. That's how I did it anyway” I say. While expining this, I am able to lht at her, but when I’m done, and no one is saying anything, I start averting my eyes.
Nyx lets out a small chuckle eventually.
“Um, I'm going to tinue on to the boss room. Have fun with your hunting” I say, while walking away, n to keep her too long.
“Wait” she said when I started to walk away.
This makes me stop in my tracks and turn back towards her. “Yes?”
“ I go into the boss room with you?” She asked. “It would be o see what it’s like without having to do it alone”
“Umm” I started to stammer, embarrassed by the question. I didn’t really know if I was the best guide for someone, and was still nervous around Nyx.
BUt…
“That wasn't a no,” she said, and started to move closer to me. “Lead the way!”
Taking a deep breath, I start to show the way to the boss room.
“Hey, we should form a party” Nyx said after a few seds.
“Um, what” I said back.
“Yeah, so we share EXP and stuff. It will only work if we both participate in the fight, but it might be helpful” She said.
“Um… sure. I don’t know how, though”
“Oh, I looked it up. Just open your status and wait for a message. It works when multiple people have them open together, and want to form a party”
So i did, and she opened hers.
And about a sed ter, I got a new message.
Nyx would like to form a party.
It was a simple yes no option. I hit yes and a new window opened.

“Oh, it shows me some of your stats” I say, looking at the new info.
“Why the hell is your HP 13730?” She yells at me, looking at her new window. “Your only level 1!”
“Oh, it's kind of weird, but I have HP boost and got a lot of experiehere somehow. I don’t really know what happened”
“What could have possibly happened?”
“A group of terrorists tried to kill me. Or at least that's what I think happened”
“Oh, yeah. They did attack you. So is that what gets EXP for HP boost? Taking damage?”
“Yeah, I think so”
“But that would have been a lot of EXP, right? How did you survive?” she said, now looking quite ed.
“I think that has something to do with this” I said, gesturing to the bracelet on my wrist. “It makes it so I ’t gain EXP, but I think it has a hiddeure as well. It made it so I didn’t die” I expined.
“Really? Thats kind of strong then, isn’t it?”
“Probably more before I got 13000 more HP”
While we were talking, enemy dete triggered and I saw some goblins in the distance. I quickly run forward and take out the group really quickly.

When I was done, Nyx came running up from behind me.
“Wow, you got them all so quickly. I couldn’t even help out” she said.
“Yeah, sorry, but I am trying to increase my skills, so I might hog all of the enemies if we are together” I say, embarrassed that I am not being a good party member.
“No, it's fine. I asked you to show me the dungeon and the hoard boss. And you are much faster than me currently. What is your speed anyway?”
“Just 11. But I'm getting pretty close to leveling up speed boost”
“Wow, maybe I’ll catch up quickly then since mine is already 6”
“Well, I wele the challenge.”

It was a nice walk to the boss room. We did e across a few groups of goblins. Nyx insisted that I watched her take out one of the groups, but the rest I took care of. She did one and I did 4 more.
She did tell me that her slimes leveled up again during her fight, but I didn’t get any messages from the system about that.
I did get told about every time that a monster was killed by her or the slimes though, but no EXP gained.
To receive EXP from a monster kill, you o participate in the kill, by doing at least one damage that is not healed before the end of the fight.
So many people have tried to cheese the system by having someone do a little damage to a mohen a higher level person just kills it, but it never worked, since higher level monsters heal quite quickly that anything a low level person does won’t work.
“So this is the boss room?” Nyx asked me when we were looking at the rge door to the boss room.
“Yep, oher side is the boss. You saw this in the orientatiht?” I say back to her.
“Yeah, but I just wao make sure”
“There won't be more than one of these doors in any dungeon under B rank. That is when more than one boss starts spawning in some dungeons”
“Well, should we head in?”
“Yep”
We opehe doors and found what was being a very familiar sight to me.

“You did it so fast” Nyx said after I finished.
“Yeah, I’ve had practice doing it. My goal needs me to do it as fast as I , so i get SP really quickly”
“Yeah, Aria said something like that. That you are also going to stay at level 1 until you finish”
“Yeah, I don’t know if you have heard of it, but there is a skill you only get at level 1 called MP Growth. It requires 10,000 SP so unless you find a way to get SP without leveling up, you ’t get it”
“And that is what the bracelet is for, then. You still get SP, but you won’t level up”
“Yep”
After talking for a bit, and colleg the stones and the items from the chest, we both left the dungeon.
“So, I think it would be a good idea that you get some practid try doing the dungeon alone” I said to Nyx.
“Yeah, probably. But, you ’t leave for the day without me.” She said, with a serious expression.
“Wait, why?”
“So we che each other at the end of the day. People get hurt when they hunt alone, so if we che each other, we will be less in danger” She expins. “Just, at the end of the day, wait for me and we walk home together” she says, then goes bato the dungeon.
“Um, ok” I say to no one and then follow bato the duo start my speed runs.
