It was time for us to load up in our transport. It was going to take us back to Carpetree, so where we were now was a total mystery to me. It had to be somewhere hidden and out of the way, somewhere the Gelly’s and Corpos didn’t even knew existed. I was happy to finally find out where I had been zing about for the past week. It was a good thought, getting out and stretching my legs. I couldn’t wait.
My new vest fit perfectly, or purrfectly, yeah, I know. I’ll go sit in the corner. The material was slim enough to fit under any jacket, but strong enough to keep me from getting blown away. At least, that’s what Walter said. Now, I just had to cross my fingers and hope I didn’t need to test it out.
Red locks of hairs spilled from my tight pom poms. My bck boots came up over my knees, with knee guards as supports. They weren’t anything fancy, but they worked for what I needed. The jump function was still active. Bck booty shorts were keeping my legs mobile. My left arm felt heavy with the weight of the power gauntlet. My guns and knife were strapped in, and I was ready to go.
I was ready.
I stepped out onto the ptform, my feet cnging on the metal. Uwu, Speck, and Echo were waiting for me, all dressed in their own power pnt jumpsuits, all their own weapons were stashed away somewhere invisible to the eye. Specks own cws were enough to cut through anyone. The memory of what he did to that Missionaries head came flooding back. It waws brutal, but effective.
I shuddered as I walked up to the group, trying to push the thought away.
Speck grunted at me, “About time.”
Uwu let a long whistle squeeze past his lips, “Wow. I think I might like this better than the purple.”
“Meow Growl? What the fuck is that.” Echo stepped around me to look at the rge print on the back. “Some sort of sex club? Figures.”
I rolled my eyes.
Uwu wrapped his arms around my hips.
I smiled, “I’ll have you know, little Bat boy, that I have no clue who they are. I just grabbed this from Walter about an hour ago and came this way.” I twisted to the side, checking it out on myself, “It fits great though.”
Speck just grunted and turned away from us, folding his arms in silent protest.
Echo pulled up the headphones from around his neck, “Let me see if I got some on the net.” He started pacing back and forth, searching through his handheld.
Uwu pulled me tighter, “You ready for this mission? Everything feeling okay?” His eyebrow raised as he waited for my answer.
“I wouldn’t be here if I wasn’t. I feel great now. Slizz is a hell of a surgeon.” I slid my hand down the front of his chest, “I’m ready for this. Let’s get this done, together.” I leaned in for a kiss, holding the back of his head, passionately rubbing down his soft fur.
I felt his tongue slipping into my mouth and wriggling around. It was warm and wet, sliding across my own tongue. I felt warm.
He pulled away, smiling, “The final piece of your outfit,” He grabbed another jumpsuit. “The disguise.” He plopped it down in my hands, “It ain’t fancy, but it will get the job done.”
“Ugh,” I unfolded they ugly thing and began slipping it over my boots. It was an ugly red and bck uniform, devoid of any imagination. A yellow logo stitched on, ‘Praxis Power.’ Just like a Corp to design these things. Probably had some kindergarten css figure these out. Probably didn’t pay them either.
Mama emerged from the base, loaded up with her slug rifle, “You all come back safe now. I don’t want you id out on a table again, sweety.” She smiled at me, chuckling, but I knew she was being honest. “I mean it, be safe. I might not be here when you get back. I’m taking some of the Meowtws on some gueril runs. I won’t be there to protect all of you.”
Uwu stuck out his hand for Mama, “Don’t worry. I’ll keep an eye on them. Good luck to you. Be safe.”
Mama looked down at the hand and grabbed it, pulling Uwu right up to her chest, hugging him tightly. “You know I’ll be fine.”
“Hey,” Echo was jamming out to his head phones, “Their not that bad, check ‘em out.” He slid the headphones over my head. They were too big, but I could still here. I was just gd that Echo had come out of his funk. I missed talking to him.
As the music came floating into my hears with heavy guitar riffs and hoarse vocals about how we are all getting fucked by corporations. The loading bay doors opened before me, spilling in a steadily growing stream of light. Cold air rushed in as the lead guitarist broke out into a melodic solo, chilling my spine and my soul.
They rocked hard, filling me with hate and hope. My energy was filling up. I couldn’t wait to kick some Corpo ass. I just wanted to break something, right then and there.
A red and yellow civilian ship slowly filled in the loading bay, nding just enough for us to board the ship. A bass riff overtook me as a female vocalist began to sing. Her voice was high pitched and full of rage. I couldn’t help but think that this was Vixie, the old Vixie. Maybe it was just a spark of hope, maybe the vest just belonged to some random Meowtw back in the day. Anyway, her lyrics spoke to me. I needed to research this once we got back. I needed to know more about her.
Before I could finish listening, the headphones were ripped away by Echo, “Come on!” He slid them over his ears and boarded the ship.
Captain Uwu grabbed my hand and pulled me forward. We waved goodbye to Mama. I gnced out of the bright, bay doors and out to a massive drop. We climbed aboard the red ship; I noticed the yellow star painted on the side.
“I be your pilot today!” Shouted the Meowtw with the robotic arm. Azura sat in the cockpit, flight helmet on, “Just hold onto you butts. You know what to do.”
The doors closed behind us and we jerked out of the loading bay and into the moon of Encedus, or Meowlith Prime it was called now. I gazed out the window in wonder as we soared through a desote frozen ndscape, leaving the steep rocky cliffside behind us. Our base was nestled in a tight sharp crack in the moon’s surface, away from any prying eyes.
Uwu gripped my hand tight, “Beautiful, isn’t it?”
I nodded as I stared at the white ndscape as we zipped past it. Gysers of water bsted out into space in the distance. Bright speckles drifted to the ground in millions of pieces, sparkling in the bright light glinting off the moon’s surface.
It was empty and quiet out here. Just raw moon. It was kind of nice.
The intercoms chimed up, “I’ma drop you off as close I can, den it’s up to you tree to get into de city. Good luck.”
Speck smirked, “Just you be ready for what we’ll have to do at the power pnt. Might get messy in there. Might have to kill some innocents who think we’re being terrorists.”
I made a worried gnce at Uwu. His face was worried too. We had no clue what to expect, but we made it this far. How bad could things really get?
